"This site is still under construction but promises to be a nice getaway. I was the only cabin in use. The huge windows provided a great view of the lake and the daily gathering of Canadian geese. Perfect place for dogs with clean tile floors - easy to clean and don’t hold smells from previous pets. Comfortable bed, great TV, tight quarters with limited furniture/seating (no place to set suitcase), beautiful bathroom, basic kitchen tools (no serving bowls or mixing dish) and coffee provided....

"Stayed here for our kiddo’s graduation from Knox College. A beautiful wonderful property with so much history. We enjoyed seeing all the family history. My mother-in-law and I were reminded of visiting our family farms when we were younger. Only thing we didn’t like was the septic system is very old and you can’t flush toilet paper. Other than that it was a beautiful property and a cozy home."

"Highly recommend as an AFFORDABLE option. The staff is welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained. Breakfast was amazing (hot and plentiful). The grounds and buildings are “vintage” in a cute way, although the landscaping is a little sad. I thought I might walk to Hy-Vee (grocery store) to pick up something for supper, but there weren’t any sidewalks. The location is tucked out of the way, which I found to be pleasant while not feeling unsafe."

"This is actually based on staying at Cindy's other Galesburg property, the three-bedroom farmhouse. But most of what I have to say would apply either way. Excellent, helpful host. When there was a glitch with the reservation she solved it right away. The house where we stayed was clean and comfortable, perfect for what we needed. We didn't really take advantage of how well-appointed it was because we were in town for graduation weekend and there were other activities going on. I recommend either of her properties, and her, highly. Both of them are very conveniently located for visiting Galesburg and enjoying the historic district."

The rooms are always spotless, the staff could not be more professional and helpful, it’s a nice quiet location and they are so consistent. They really strive to make your stay the best that it can be. There’s no reason to stay anywhere else when you’re in the Galesburg area."
