Fantastic hotel and fantastic service fantastic breakfast But….. Only 7 Swedish tv chanals! Notice ONLY Swedish and the smallest television as Room a bit small (booked the smallest type)

This hotel is a real gem in the center of Lund. Close to all the shopping areas, restaurants, and the train station that brings you to Malmö in 15 minutes. We opted to stay longer in the Grand Hotel instead of spending a night in Malmo. The rooms are great, phenomenal breakfast buffet, and very friendly and helpful personnel.

The Grand Hotel is vintage classic hotel. For me the room was a bit dated. The restaurant and service are wonderful. I encourage you to walk the city. The train station is within walking distance with baggage.

Location, first glimpse and brekfast - amazing!

Very good location, beautiful interior (corridors, staircases, lobby), amazingly good breakfast, but room quality - unfortunately, very average. The room was tiny, but I wouldn't complain about it if it was clean. The furniture and decorations were old-fashioned (quite nice, actually), but the desk area was not clean (crumbs under the information folder, smudges on the desktop), the armchair cover felt also too dusty. The bedsheets were clean and okay but the duvet much too thick for July. At night I was sweating, which was very uncomfortable. I got a room with a view of a roof of another building and some pipes, but this was just my bad luck.

The staff was terrific. Being an older property it could use upgrading. The bathrooms were small and outdated, the bathtubs were dangerous. The tub should be replaced with walk in showers

For lille kammer

Værelset nr. 456 (tror jeg det var) var alt for lille nærmest et kammer og vinduet kunne kun åbne lidt (en servicemedarbejder forsøgte at hjælpe uden held). Det var også ønskeligt om begge vores værelser lå i det mindste på samme etage, de var bestilt måneder forinden. Ellers var alt vel.

Fint klassiskt hotell

Grand hotel är verkligen ett fint hotell, fin mat, god och varierande frukost. Vi bodde där i juli och i ett rum åt väster så solen stod på. Eftersom det inte finns ngn AC, blev det inte mycket sömn då det var som en bastu på rummet. Vi hade stängda fönster för att inte höra tåg och godståg. Rummet i sig var annars perfekt.

Not coming back

Hotel a bit dated with signs of wear. Unfortunately multiple giant silverfish in the room. Staff thanked us for notifying, but no compensation. We had to go through all luggage and directly was all clothing upon return home; very inconvenient and a direct consequence of hotel facilities. Quite noisy with window open due to proximity to train station (and poor ventilation necessitated open window). Mediocre breakfast buffet; shortage of vegetables, very poor gluten free section.
