"The house is very clean. View is spectacular. Wifi didn't work for the first several days, but Mary kindly offered us an unlimited SIM card for hot spot sharing. She is truly the best host! We really enjoyed our stay!"

"Lovely place with peace and quiet. A bit off the main road but not far from highway. Front entrance is a bit steep as is the fell driveway so those with some mobility issues be advised. Would stay there again for sure "

"The view was spectacular, the host was very nice and it was very clean. It was a little off the beaten path but if you want peace and tranquility it is perfect. It felt very spacious with the open concept. Overall I would definitely recommend a stay here. Just make sure you have 4 wheel or all wheel drive as the road up was steep."

Little playground for the kids was a nice touch, especially when the parents were trying to pack up. We did notice that the fridge didn't seem to be cleaned from the last guest. "Nice log cottage sitting on Diana Mountain with a nice view of Bras d’Or Lake. The night skys are fantastic. The cottage is secluded. It is about a 35 minute drive to the nearest store of any kind so if you want to get away from everything it is perfect. Stock up before you go. The cottage has high speed internet and good cell phone reception to keep you in touch with the outside world. If you are planning on taking in a lot of the sights of Cape Breton Island then plan on a lot of driving."

"This is a fantastic place for a family mix of ages. Great deck overlooking the lake. Kayaks were a big hit with the older kids. The house itself was ideal with well appointed kitchen, 5 bedrooms and the 2 bathrooms were a godsent. The size of the place meant 9 people and a dog were never on top of each other and the large living room was excellent for evening get togethers. The wifi and TV were good but as noted the phone coverage was next to non-existent (this is the fault of the service...
