Had a wonderful experience here. We had a slightly delayed check in but were met at reception by a lovely lady who offered us special coffee and dates while we waited. The issue was that they couldnt find our booking on hotels.com To make up for the delay they allowed us late check out on the day we left. Our room was clean and spacious. King size bedroom. The bathroom was clean. The toilet area was separate to the shower area. Only downside was that there wasnt much lighting in the toilet area. The breakfast was lovely with lots of variety. We really enjoyed the breakfast. All the staff members we met were polite and courteous and always offered a warm welcome with a smile. Reception seating area was huge. Location was very good. Only drawback was that we had to cross the road and walk over to a lift to go down to the ground floor to enter thr haram area. The lift tended to be quite busy. Apart from that the haram area led us straight to gate 79. So it was a good location once u got used to the route. I have so far stayed at The Hilton, the Marriott, Violet, swissotel and now Rotana. Before i would have said that the Marriott was the best one but the route to the haram from there when on foot was a bit challenging in th heat. For now i would say its swissotel primarily for its location and Rotana is the best so far for the customer service. I hope these guys keep it up though.
