"IF you want something private and beautiful this is the place. It is off the beaten path but well worth it. Getting to see deer every day was amazing. You can even roll down your window and talk to the them. It was exactly the peace we needed. The view is breathtaking."

Walking distance to stores, restaurants, etc all within 10 minutes. Excellent base to south shore destination- an hour to Halifax. Would book this one again in a heartbeat!"

The location was so very relaxing and there was nothing that we could have wanted or needed. The hosts were very accommodating and we felt very welcomed. "The cottage was spotless and very well appointed. Especially the kitchen: came supplied with both pod and drip coffeemakers - and coffee along with some other staples. Communication with the owners was clear and timely. While the property lot runs down to the sea at Western Shore, the cottage was not truly "ocean front". It is set back from the ocean a bit but we could sit right beside the sea. Lovely!"

The sound of the river lulls you to sleep and the fire pit chairs is such a relaxing space. The whole property is so beautiful. Sherry was communicative throughout and made the experience so smooth. "This was our second stay at Legacy and both times have been terrific! Everything we needed to enjoy our week. The grandchildren loved playing in the yard and frequent trips to the beach. "Beautiful home! Ultra clean! Floor to ceiling windows along the entire front of the house! Perfect views of the bay every day, regardless of the weather. Secluded, but there are neighbors behind. The host was amazing. So welcoming, so friendly, kind and helpful. We arrived late on a rainy, foggy night. Too late to stop at a store. We found lights on, coffee, English muffins, and jam for our breakfast. So very thoughtful!! We would recommend this property to anyone looking for a rugged, rustic...

"Me and my family had a great and relaxing time at this charming and secluded cottage. We made good use of the kayak, paddle boat, and the beaches and loved spending time on the deck overlooking the water. Even with some rainy weather, we found plenty to do in nearby towns and made use of the board games and puzzles. The cottage is off the grid and powered by generator/solar but it is easy to manage. The host was very friendly and helpful."

"A well equipped cottage and beautifully appointed on a protected cove. Beautiful deck, comfortable beds, great kitchen and nice to have to have access to washer/dryer. This was just what we were looking for - relaxation with ocean views."

"We would definitely choose this place again if we stay in Mahone Bay again. It was very clean, well kept and adorable. Kitchen was fully functional. Small, but perfect for a couple on a romantic getaway, or a couple with a small child. My only slightly negative comment is that the bed is a queen, not a king, and the listing does not specify the size of bed. But that's just a very minor point and I would still stay here again."
