Hostal Veracruz is clean and safe. Single rooms are small, cozy and functional, with private bathrooms and air conditioner. The rooms combine modern furnishings and fixtures with the traditional architecture of the building. The hostal is centrally located in the Puerta del Sol area; a great location, especially for solo travelers, with countless restaurants, bars and cafes and shops nearby, and within walking distance from major attractions such as the Prado Museum, El Retiro park, and the Royal Palace.

I loved how cute this place was! Clean and the service was lovely. Also a great location just a few minutes walk from Sol Metro. The only negative was how hard it was to find the property, I walked past the front door several times looking for it.

The only complaint is the my need new towels, they were clean but looked dirty, guess because they are old and over used

Room was very clean and functional. Staff were super lovely and helpful. Allowed baggage to be left as well the next day. However, room is sooooo loud, there was a party until 5am and there is no sound proofing. Can also hear all the other guests in the hallway. Would not recommend if you are a light sleeper!

Great location, decent rooms, very good price. I would give this place a 4.5/5. The reason I won’t give it a 5 is because the bedsheets didn’t seem very clean and there were questionable stains. Also there are a lot of bars below the hotel and all along the street that are open very late at night; due to that it was hard to get good sleep. However I knew that this area was going to be loud. If you planning to drink late and party this hotel is perfect

La segunda vez que me quedo en este lugar y cada vez que vaya a Madrid me quedaré ahí.. Las camas son comodísimas, yo me quedé en un cuarto privado y tiene todo lo necesario, no se escucha nada el ruido de la calle y la ubicación es excelente.

Excelente Hostal para tu estancia en Madrid, a media cuadra de la plaza del Sol, y lleno de lugares donde comer delicioso y hacer compras, el personal es de lo mejor y super empáticos. las habitaciones son lo suficientemente amplias y toallas grandes y medianas Si vas en silla de ruedas es muy buena opción para tu estancia, sugiero que llames para pedir habitación en el piso de la recepción, El elevador es lo suficientemente amplio para la silla de ruedas y un acompañante, en nuestro caso solo teníamos que quitar los descansa pies de la silla y cabía perfecto . si vas a comer a todo alrededor hay excelentes opciones, a donde te metas la comida esta excelente, prueba "la pulpería de victoria" que esta enfrente, "la casa del abuelo" que esta en la esquina o "la Carmela" que esta a media cuadra.
Frente al Hotel esta "la pulpería de Victoria", Excelente lugar para comer y Cenar. (foto tomada desde el balcón de nuestra habitación.

Nos encantó, esta cerca de todo y caminando llegas al metro, a restaurantes. La vida nocturna es activa en esa zona, pero los ventanales aíslan el ruido, nunca tuvimos problema. Excelente opción para hospedarse cerca de la zona central de Madrid
