"Crack house dump. Bugs, the door didn't lock, stains and smells, toilet didn't flush. We left and slept in the car."

"It's a basic hotel, but it was fine for us. We are a family of 4 and basically used the hotel for sleeping as we were out most of the day. The only issue was the broken net on the windows which allowed a few wasps/hornets to enter our room, even though we didn't open the windows. Dove shampoo, conditioner and soap were provided. Beds were very comfortable. The washroom fan is very noisy. There's a lot of restaurants close by, including a Tim Hortons. There's also a Walmart, Canadian Tire and gas station within a minute from the hotel."

"I stay in a lot of hotels and I’ve never written a review or walked out on a stay before this experience. It was so bad that we handed the key back and didn’t stay. Where do I begin? The smells (like cat urine), the drywall mud patches on the walls, dirty, terrible. I’ve been in touring bands for years, toured all over Canada and the USA (even oilpatch Alberta) and I’ve never seen a property this run down in my life. The owners refusal to refund my money or even offer explanation is wild. VRBO is refusing to help as well as Expedia passing the buck two and fro. You will get the runaround. This property is so desperate for your money that you will not get it back. Do not book this property. After speaking to some locals, we found out that the city of Renfrew pays this… “establishment” to put up the city’s addicts and unhoused for the winter. Avoid at all costs, especially if you have kids or you want to stay married. Had to book another hotel at extortion prices and lose my investment as well. AVOID."

"The host we’re awesome, very friendly and welcoming. They made sure we were all set before letting us enjoy our couple days we stayed in their beautiful cottage, all amenities worked as they should, hot tub was an awesome touch. Thank you Brianna!"

"The cabin was stunning, very accommodating lots of natural sunlight. Provided all the conveniences needed for the stay. Only concern was the precarious staircase leading to the cabin and to the water, otherwise a beautiful peaceful place along the water. I thoroughly enjoyed. "
