Hike through the nearby forest or go exploring in the nearby archipelago. Take day trips to Lysekil or to Stångehuvud, a rocky nature reserve west of the town with breathtaking views of the sea. Lysekil itself has many architecturally attractive neighbourhoods. The old town of Gamlestan is the historic centre with several well-preserved and charming streets that invite you to stroll around. Other popular excursion destinations include the Kallbadhuset open-air swimming pool, Havsbadsparken and Lysekil's granite church on a hill overlooking the town.
