  • Our 115 m2 air-conditioned cottage is ideally located in Saint-Cyr-au-Mont-d'Or, just a few minutes from Lyon by public transportation (stop 1 minute walk away). <br>It is composed of a living room of 45 m2 with a fully equipped kitchen (hob, microwave, grill, refrigerator, dishwasher...), 3 bedrooms Queen Size bed with TV, private bathroom. From the living room and the bedrooms you access a large terrace, a heated outdoor swimming pool of 15 x 4 m with salt, many deckchairs and armchairs available.<br><br>In this cottage with a warm decoration of Scandinavian inspiration, you have an independent entrance with upstairs a large living room-kitchen with all the necessary (utensils, cutlery, pans, dishes, large fridge-freezer, large oven, microwave, filter coffee maker...) opening onto a large terrace with a charcoal barbecue (to be expected). <br>There are 3 bedrooms with a 160 queen size bed with their own bathroom, TV in each room, 1 baby cot is also available. <br>Air conditioning in each of the 3 bedrooms and in the living room kitchen.<br><br>Free parking is at your disposal as well as many spaces in the surrounding area. The house is also connected to the TCL network, a bus stop 150m away connects the metro of Gare de Vaise in only 8 minutes. Ideal for visiting Lyon without the hassle of the car. <br><br>Bordering Lyon, the city center is only 8 km away, it is also the ideal starting point to discover the capital of the Gauls, the Beaujolais, the villages of the Pierres Dorées (Oingt..) and of course to eat at the Paul Bocuse restaurant in Collonges which is only 5 km away.<br><br>Our house is right next door and we are at your disposal to ensure that your stay near Lyon takes place in the best conditions (choice of restaurants, taxi reservation, ideas for walks in Lyon...). <br><br>We are a family with 2 children aged 8 and 10, speak English and German and will be delighted to welcome you! Gorgeous apartment

Imaginatively laid out apartment with its own terrace and access to a glorious pool and garden just a few steps away. Stephanie was the perfect host and although there was no air conditioning the fans provided kept the apartment cool. Our party of six had a relaxing holiday with central Lyon only a short drive away.

Difficult one to rate...pros and cons

The pros: Stephanie was very nice and accommodating. Communication was good. Transport links into Lyon are easy. There are a couple of decent restaurants in walking distance. Parking for 2 cars. The place was very clean. The cons: VRBO had this listed as pet friendly (and I confirmed this with the owner shortly after booking), It has a lovely garden and pool - neither of which we could use. While I believe this was a genuine mistake in the listing, I would never have booked this place knowing my dog was not welcome. Stephanie’s husband was very upset when he saw our dog in the garden the one and only time he was there - he told us they don’t accept dogs, he was not welcome in the garden and his cats would be traumatised at the sight of our little cocker spaniel. To be fair, Stephanie told us after a couple of days we could use the garden and pool but as a pet owner, there was no way I was going to use the pool or let my dog in the garden after the reaction of Stephanie’s husband. Also, the listing was not clear it is on the first floor. It was HOT with a lot of mosquitos. After the first night, I asked for fans since we couldn’t keep the windows open at night due to the mosquitos. We didn’t get fans. We were sweltering for 3 nights in the gite, and it was only the last night –that we learned there a “cooling system” of some sort that was not turned on until 12 hours before we checked out. The place was just adequately stocked. The wifi was intermittent.
