The hotel is lovely, dog friendly, rooms are nice but our bed was a bit uncomfortable but we were only staying one night passing through the new forest, the staff are lovely, the breakfast was really good, our dogs got a sausage each, handy carpark, would use again.

lovely stay in this dog friendly hotel. Room was clean and comfortable, although the bathroom with shower in bath arrangements slightly dated. Breakfast was more than adequate and included a sausage for the dog. Staff were all very helpful and sourced extra fans on request for the hottest days in June.

Lovely comfy room, fan provided during the extreme heat. Lovely small, mostly shaded, terrace at the back of the hotel. Delicious breakfast and very helpful, friendly staff. There is one set of steep, narrow stairs to get to the rooms although help was offered to carry up our case.

Lovely breakfast. Very clean room. Our twin room was in the loft, not seen this room on any of the photos. Bathroom too small to have a sink in, so it was in the bedroom. A tight squeeze between the double bed and sink. Also had to go past sink to reach tea and coffee facilities. You have to pull blind down when going to toilet, as window low, so you could " wave" to passerbys. Sloping roof, so could nt sit up straight against the head board. Very comfortable beds. We slept really well. Would come back, but not to that room

4th visit to hotel which is convenient for visiting our son. Rooms are clean and breakfast is excellent. Ask for ground or first floor as 2nd floor are in roof and awkward if tall.

My fiancé and our 2 year old had a fantastic getaway in the New Forest based here. Ideal location to stroll into town (plenty of restaurants shops and pubs) within 5 minutes or Boltons Bench (a nice grassy area with wild ponies) in 10. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. A nice sized room on the top floor which was perfect and moved into the apartments for our last night which was amazing-so much space! Good parking and breakfast so ideal to get up and go to explore nearby, Longdown activity farm and moors valley country park being the highlights for our son. Worth noting there’s no lift so had to carry the pushchair upstairs which I really didn’t mind but could be an issue for some.

Unfortunately we had the attic room and with 2 dogs of which one was a young puppy the stairs were far too steep especially as one had to be carried. The road outside was very noisy and busy throughout the night.

Lovely spacious room for my family of 4. Clean, ample towels, and bedding. General areas all clean, staff were very pleasant and helpful. Parking was easy and onsite, and it's great how close you are walking distance into Lyndhurst high street. Breakfast was very nice and had plenty of choice. Huge thanks!
