We knew we would be in the attic room so stairs did not bother us. A light or nightlight at the top of the stairs would make it a lot safer. Breakfast was wonderful and the staff accommodated an early morning departure with breakfast laid out!

We had a great time staying at this pleasant bed and breakfast. It is approximately a 15 minute walk from the main train station or you can take a bus that will easily connect you. The hotel was very clean and we had a shared bathroom (which was right across the hall from our room) but there are so many bathrooms it almost felt as though it was private. Bathrooms were always cleaned everyday. Breakfast was great, good variety of bread/meat/cheese/ yogurt etc. and the everyone we spoke to was extremely nice. Would definitely recommend

The property is old but clean and quiet as I expected. It is a little bit hot as there is no air conditioner but acceptable if you turn on the fan. The only thing we don't like is that there is no lift and you must carry your luggage to the third floor.

Pros: a 15-minute walk to the center of the old town; a good breakfast with plenty of options; comfortable beds; ceiling fans (absolutely essential for August; housekeeping reset the room. Cons: shared bathrooms (somehow I missed this when booking); very basic room furnishings (nothing on the walls, no color anywhere, at least not in ours); feels a bit like a hostel (without the hostel bargain price); “parking available” means it is paid street parking (CHF 20 for a day pass through an app). Overall, decent and clean but not fancy by any stretch.

The Bed and Breakfast is top rate in our book in every imaginable way!! Isabelle and her staff run the Best B&B ever! Location (quiet, safe, and pretty.). Rooms are roomy and shared bathrooms are no problem since there are so many! Breakfast is delicious and the coffee/tea service 24/7 is great. Thanks for a memorable stay!!

Staff was friendly. Downside - breakfast was pricey for what was offered. We were given a bus pass for the 2 days that we stayed making transportation a breeze. Buses arrived on time and very often.

Overall great place to stay. The staff is very helpful and kind. Our only complaint was the temperature. It was a rather warm few days when we stayed and the air conditioner in our attic room struggled to get the room to a tolerable temperature overnight. The staff did get us a small fan to use the next day which was very helpful, though.

This is a terrific place to stay in Lucerne for everything you need. It is charming and simple. The yard and tables outside are lovely and relaxing. The staff is terrific and helpful. We did not think to bring our own shampoo for the shared bath. Only soap is provided, so be more prepared that we were. Absolutely wonderful with all we needed. A smart choice.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Bed and Breakfast in Lucerne. It was in a nice quiet area yet easy to reach other locations such as Old Town. The bus stop is close by but we often walked along back streets to get to the Old Town, boat docks and train station. The host, Isabelle is lovely and very helpful. There was a great variety for the breakfast each morning. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again if we return to Lucerne.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is very close to a bus station. The bus operates frequently to various locations. On top of this, the hotel provides free bus pass. The pass is available (by email) even before our arrival. As a result, we can go to the hotel by bus at zero cost.

Hermoso hotel

Un hotel súper bonito, muy diferente a las cadenas hoteleras al ser una casa restaurada de mas de 100 años. Las habitaciones están muy cómodas, muy confortables, el ambiente es muy tranquilo. Los baños son compartidos pero en nuestro piso había 4 y éramos 3 habitaciones ocupadas entonces prácticamente tuvimos un baño para nosotros. Súper recomendable
