Where to begin? Oh my, we got there a little early just hoping to stash our bags until check in. Instead we were offered an upgraded room ready for check in (for 10 euro) we said sure. Great decision! This was a lovely spot. and the included breakfast in the morning!!! Full on International breakfast choices. Really, you do not need lunch after this. Just go rent your bikes and head for the city walls to ride. We rode 10 miles all over and had so much fun. This stay in Lucca was a highlight of our trip.

This is my favorite hotel in Lucca. The staff are very nice and the breakfast (you can add it to your stay), is excellent. They’ll make you a cappuccino! The location is lovely because it’s quiet yet so close to restaurants, Piazza San Michele and the wall (for walking). Absolutely adore this hotel.

Location, reception area, staff, breakfast, buildings, etc were all fantastic. Only our room (Diana side) felt a little out of date. The bathroom was great - modern fixtures, etc - but the furnishings in the sleeping area looked out of the 60's, the mattresses were very soft (double bed had two single mattresses), and there was no fridge. Our window also opened onto what looked like a private courtyard. There was AC, however, and no ambient noise at night, so we still had a great night's sleep. All in all, it's a great deal for the price.

Highly recommend! Staff were amazing and friendly. They went out their way to accomodate us. Breakfast was delicious with an assortment to choose from. Loved the juicer to make fresh orange juice!

Really loved this hotel. It seems unfair that places like this only get 2 stars due to amenities etc - the character and what's on offer should count for a lot more. Staff were so helpful - even going with my husband to park the car in the local cathedral car park. We were unable to check in as arrived early but I was able to sit in a small seated area in reception doing a bit of work - there was orange juice, water and snacks freely available - it was lovely. Large room with plenty of space and storage, comfortable big bed and it was nice and cool even without the aircon on. Hotel felt full of character - really enjoyed our stay there.

Lucca is a very charming community. With lots history, shops and restaurants. the staff and accommodations at hotel Diana made our stay all the better. We would highly recommend others to seek out Hotel Diana for others while staying in Lucca Italy.

A 2 Day Stay in Lucca

Very kind and attentive staff at front desk and the breakfast. Breakfast was continental style, with many options. Showers are small, but that seems to be the norm in some hotels in Italy

Great place to stay inside the walls at Lucca. This is inside of the ZTL parking was not included if you booked through hotels.com. €20 per night. Breakfast cost a little extra but was well worth it.

One of the Best hotels in Lucca!

The Hotel Diana, is a clean, no thrills but lovely hotel. The staff are so accommodating and helpful! I often stay here as it's right next to the Duomo San Martino and so close to everything. the rooms are quite quirky with various colours which adds to the experience.

This was my 3rd stay at Hotel Diana. I love it so much. The location is quieter than the more touristy areas and yet so close to everything you need. Cafes, restaurants, a self-serve laundromat, and landmarks are just minutes away. The staff are so nice. Fabrizio even remembered me from last year when I was on another Camino. What a treat to be remembered!! The breakfast which you can include for a modest fee, is worth it. I absolutely love the location and my room is always comfortable. It’s very clean and I appreciate the mid-day tidy of my room. Just around the corner, you can find opera on certain nights of the week. It really is convenient. It’s about a 10 minute walk from the train station and super easy to find. I can’t say enough lovely things about Hotel Diana.

Highly recommend this hotel! A sweet small boutique hotel on a quiet street. Staff was so welcoming! Fabrizio was kind to listen to me struggle through my little bit of Italian I know. We stayed in the Hotel Diana annex (Rm #40) and it was VERY nice. They go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. You can't ask for more.
