"The location is great. The parking is $10 per day & underground. The breakfast is ok. The staff is nice. However, the showers took 20 minutes to warm up. Also it smelled like sewage when we arrived. "

"During our honeymoon, trip from San Francisco to L.A. in March 2026, we stayed here one night. I had booked a Deluxe Room with King Bed for $309.00. From the online photo of this particular room type, and for the price, I was expecting something special, but was assigned dark, dingy room #216, located on the ground floor at the rear of the property. Instead of the expected garden view with floor to ceiling windows as shown for this room type, there was no window at all in the front next to the entrance door. The only way to see the garden was to leave the door open! There was a rear window, facing a parking lot with a view of a bush and a large ugly storage container which we named "The dumpster". There was an array of junk out back too. We kept the blinds closed to pretend that view didn't exist. Of course the room was dark even during daytime. This room was NOTHING like the one in the photo and could not possibly be one of the deluxe rooms. My lady was so upset. I asked the front desk to ask for a better room but the only one available was an adjacent room 215 with a queen bed instead of the king. It did have a front window to the garden but the friendly desk person warned us that many people complain about that room because one wall is shared with the laundry room which is noisy. We stayed with the original dark, dingy room. What a disappointment! All nine other hotels on our trip were wonderful. I can't believe I chose this place over all the beautiful ones nearby."

"staff was very nice, helpful and friendly. The lady (I forgot her name) assisting breakfast was exceptionally nice and helpful..you don't find people this nice anymore.. Do you guys have a location in Riverside or So Cal area? I’d love to go! "

"The rooms were clean and I'd like to the fact that they had a lot of pillows. The only thing I would say that would be nice is a fan in the bathroom. You can open the window but there's a chance somebody could be looking in on you in the shower on the toilet. I enjoyed the continental breakfast. They had Otis spunkmeyer muffins and yoplait yogurt and other stuff but that's what I like and I ate. Also, the person doing the continental breakfast was on it. She kept replenishing and cleaning and doing a really good job. The air conditioning was great. I went to another hotel right after but in Anaheim. I was expecting better because it was a Homewood by Hilton. Severely disappointed."

"The location is central and great. The exterior is the historic part, which is beautiful, but marketing suggests the lobby/bar is a time capsule, which it is not. The double queen room was a great size. Water pressure in the shower was mid and the sink drained slowly. "

"Several things weren’t up to par considering the ‘glowing’ reviews we read before booking. Firstly, the staff were quite odd and unfriendly. Our bathroom had mould on the ceiling and the cleaners didn’t even fill up our conditioner or body wash so we couldn’t even shower. The walls are paper thin and we had cleaners shouting at each other outside our room before 8am so I don’t think staff care about guest experience at all. The ‘breakfast’ was the biggest joke of all - some lack lustre pastries, about five yogurts up for grabs and some waffle mix which ran out before we could even have some (we were down at breakfast by 8am so not sure why it had already run out and when we notified the person at the front desk, he looked annoyed that we had mentioned it). The somewhat of a saving grace is that it’s in a good location and it was nice that the rooms had been somewhat updated but I wouldn’t rush back nor would I necessarily recommend it to anyone I know. "
