"The location was great. Check in was interesting and the time was strict. We tried to text the number on the door but no responses. They provided bottled water, apples and mini muffins which was very thoughtful. Overall we enjoyed our stay."
Cascade River Park - Cascade Nook Camp, in the heart of the North Cascades
8/10 Good
"Overall, we had a really cool experience and would absolutely recommend it. How many people get to say they've camped in the heart of the North Cascades? It was definitely a memorable trip.
The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is just a couple of communication issues that could be easily improved. I had some trouble receiving the check-in email (which may have been a technology issue), and once I received it, I wish it had included a reminder to check for any burn bans before purchasing firewood. We bought firewood and s'mores supplies before arriving, only to find there was a burn ban in effect.
The other suggestion is regarding check-in. The instructions clearly explained how to retrieve the keycard from the lockbox but didn't mention that you also need to take the key for the A-frame cabin. We left it behind because we didn't want to take something meant for another guest, only to arrive and realize we needed it.
Neither issue ruined our stay, and both are easy fixes. Overall, this was a unique and memorable experience in a beautiful location."
North Cascades Getaway – Off-Grid Riverside Cabin with Wood-Fired Hot Tub
10/10 Excellent
"Perfect location to access North Cascades National Park. The soothing sounds of the river, the hammock, the fire pit, and the ability to cook our own meals every night was amazing. The hosts were easy to contact and quick to respond."
Secluded North Cascades Retreat | Private Trail + Fire Pit
10/10 Excellent
"We loved staying at the Lookout. The upscale cottage decorating was comfortable and welcoming. The premium bedding and towels felt new, and fresh. Sheila and Victor’s thoughtful touches (hiking map, guidebook, board games) really made our stay extra comfortable. There was a basket in the bathroom with necessities that might be needed. I definitely needed an individual package of Advil after 2 days of hiking in the North Cascades National Park. We cooked meals in the kitchen that had everything we needed. I recommend bringing groceries as the Marblemount restaurants weren’t open when we needed them. We had delicious pizza and salad from Annie’s pizza station in Concrete one night. We wanted to stay as close as possible to the national park, and this place was perfect for us. We had short drives to the national park, and a quiet and relaxing place to return to at the end of the day! I would definitely recommend this place for a family or group."
Dwell Magazine Scandi Cabin with Outdoor Forest Tub, min to North Cascades Park
10/10 Excellent
"This cabin was one of the coziest rentals I've ever stayed in. Everything in the cabin was designed to be very modern and cozy. I loved having all the comfy sitting spots, plenty of both indoor and outdoor dining space, a fire pit, an private outdoor tub for relaxing, lots of big windows with natural light, and lovely ambient noise of the Cascade River nearby. The host, Nazia, was very welcoming, helpful, and responsive.
The cabin is a 30 min drive to the North Cascades Visitor Center. It was so nice knowing I was staying close by to the national park as well.
I've been raving about the cozy rental cabin I stayed at for 2 nights to my friends and family and would love to visit again. Highly recommend!"
