Room was clean, staff were friendly, free breakfast was good (they even had chicken, better than free breakfast at some other places). There's a food court (Mercado; the seafood place Isla Serena is amazing), pharmacy, nail salon nearby which was useful. I thought 1100 pesos for regular mani and pedi were kind of expensive so I went into San Jose town but it was 1000 pesos so pretty much the same. I went to the Westin nearby a lot because I was here for a wedding there. The Uber pick up/ drop off are right in front of the door at Hampton but a little walk before the security gate at Westin, which was annoying. Kudos to Hampton for that. The only complaint I have for Hampton is that Hampton Inn did not have a magnifying mirror I could borrow from the front desk. Also, a little thing like, the togo cups for coffee or tea did but have lids that fit so I had to drink it all before I could leave.
