Great Family Getaway

We had a wonderful week staying on the Long Beach peninsula in this adorable beach cottage. It was clean, tastefully decorated and sufficiently appointed with everything we needed for our stay. There were lots of beach equipment to use, a brand new bbq, and was steps away from both the ocean and the bay. Thank you for letting us use your place!

Our family of four was super happy with our stay at the Cottage. It is a great super "beachy" location in Long Beach and just a short drive or long walk to everything you need for your stay. Each of our kids had their own bedroom (always a win there) and we were able to maximize every day due to the convenience. We would stay again.

Relaxing Getaway

The location is fantastic. The sound of the waves provide a relaxing atmosphere. The place is well-equipped, clean, and spacious. I loved that it was a pet-friendly rental which allowed us to have our fur babies with us. The hosts are very attentive and responsive. It is a quiet neighborhood which adds to the peaceful and beautiful ambience We will certainly return and recommend Shawn and David’s place.

Lovely Coastal Vibe and beach access

The cottage was lovely, exactly as pictured. It included a well-stocked kitchen, charming living room, and cozy beds. The neighborhood was charming. We enjoyed the Vibes Cafe on 62nd PL, the restaurants on 2nd Street, and the Creama Cafe and shopping in Seal Beach. The close proximity of Vibes Cafe and 2nd Street made it easy to get around without a car. Our walks along the beach and being able to hear the sounds of the surf from inside the cottage enhanced our trip to see family. We would love to stay again and have already recommended the cottage to other family members. Thank you for having us.

Amazing location!

My family met here to celebrate Christmas, close to two sons and daughters-in-law (and adorable granddaughters. The rest of us came from afar. There could not be a better location, especially at Christmas, as the canal lights up for the season! The description describes a complete kitchen, and it was certainly adequate, but definitely not a gourmet cook’s kitchen. We adapted and had a fantastic time. There are multiple places to get take-out and/or walk for dinner of every ethnic taste. Shawn is a wonderful and welcoming host, and checked in to see if we needed anything. We will be back- it was a memorable and blessed holiday gathering!

nice , quiet place , steps from the beach

overall, we were impressed with shawn's home. does not feel like a rental. it feels like a home. the house is steps away from the beach. the beach is very quiet though for those who prefer a quiet beach. home was clean. had all the kitchen utensils, pots, plates, etc. home had enough towels for bathrooms and beach. home had one parking space in garage but you can park another small care close by garage doors. there is good parking spaces around the neighborhood. you do have to drive to other areas for entertainment as this home is in a residential place. I would say that the bed in master bedroom is more soft in general , which is fine if you prefer that. for those traveling with pets, there is limited space to walk dogs. you would have to walk several blocks to a small park area. overall, we enjoyed being there.

What a wonderful place to vacation with the family! My family loves puzzles and we were excited to see there were a few at the house. My kids loved having a puzzle out on the table while we enjoyed our stay. We loved all the paddle boards and kayaks and couldn't get enough of the beach! We shopped at a grocery store nearby and enjoyed bbqing on the grill and really just enjoying this very comfortable and very family friendly home. The hosts were great and responded quickly to our questions. Thank you for everything, we cant wait to come back

Comfortable and convenient

Our stay was very comfortable with everything we need at a convenient distance. We were able to park in the garage and having the chairs/toys/boogie boards was a nice perk.

The crashing beach

Our stay was fantastic! The place was bright and airy. When you opened the front door you could hear the sound of the waves crashing. About a mile away was another beach (Naples) i would recommend this as opposed to swimming the ocean. But a GREAT place to get away and hear the beach and relax!

Heaven on earth

What a wonderful, relaxing few days we had at this property. It is steps from the beach and bay sides of the peninsula. The home was perfect for being together as a family and enjoying the beach. There were plenty of sun, sand and water toys to keep us all busy. The A/C didn’t get very cold in the bedrooms, but I will take that as an offset to how wonderful everything else was here. I wish I had found this place years ago, I would have booked it a few times a year.

Perfect Girls' Weekend

Electrical Safety Resources

2 week work trip. I would definitely bring my family out. Maybe 50 yards from the beach. Lots of fun to be had in a 1 mile area. Great beds and atmosphere.

Home Away From Home

Perfect location!

This location is in walking distance to ABYC. We had plenty of room for My son and his sailing partner as we brought his Nacra 17 catamaran to practice for the 2028 Olympics!
