The staff was great. The pillows were uncomfortable, the shower head wasn't great (but the water pressure was good), there was no wifi for 2 out of 3 nights, the sheets and towels are dingy, and there is no fridge in the room

Well kept hotel in an excellent location near the beach and Santa Monica pier. Boutique older hotel with very clean rooms. Staff is excellent, especially Diana at front desk and Javier at the reasonably priced Valet.

The location was excellent and very close to the pier, which we really appreciated. However, there was a noticeable odour in the hallway leading to the room, possibly from the carpet, and a mild odour inside the room as well. It would also be helpful to have a kettle and complimentary bottled water in the room. Additionally, installing a couple of hooks behind the bathroom door would be a practical improvement. Thanks.
