"Really nice place to stay. The staff were all lovely. And the room was so clean and decorated nicely. Metropole will be our place to stay each time we visit Catalina. Thank you for being gracious and welcoming."

"We were a little surprised the pictures from the site were different from our room. It was a very pricey stay for what we actually got. There weren't even any cups/glasses in the room or available from the front desk. No wash cloths, No coffee,or tea or coffee maker.. there was a small refrigerator, but it was very noisy in the middle of the night. T.V was ok, but small. Bed was comfortable, and we were able to get better pillows when we asked. For the price, I expected some amenities. There were 2 irons in room, but no ironing board. The carpet was clean, but very out dated. Just being honest."

"Very loud--other guests stomping up and down the hallways/pounding on doors all night. Not a quiet spot. Upkeep and cleanliness wasn't great, especially considering the price."

"The staff were very accomodating and allowed for early check in for our room. The room was small, which was not really an issue. The bed was comfortable, I think it may have been a memory foam mattress. The room itself was poorly maintained. The paint was chipping off in some places and tiles were poorly attached. Cracks were noticeable and there were holes in the walls. The air conditioning worked well and we were comfortable for the most part. Conveniently located off the main street, as most of the hotels are. It was listed as a cottage, I guess quaint and rustic are part of it's charm. We did not use the included kitchen, but the two burner stove worked and they supplied us with pans and utensils (no plates). No coffee makers in the room, but complementary coffee and tea was a nice touch."
