Welcome to 't Blauwe Huysje, a charming, detached vacation home on the water at Chaletpark Smalland in Loosdrecht. This is a place where tranquility, wellness, comfort, and the outdoors come together. As soon as you arrive, you’ll immediately notice the relaxed atmosphere created by the water, the greenery, and the lovely, peaceful surroundings. 't Blauwe Huysje is for guests who want to unwind, enjoy wellness, love being outdoors, and truly escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The Huysje was completely renovated and modernized in 2026. Everything has been put together with great care, love, and attention to detail, ensuring that your stay feels warm, comfortable, and complete. From the layout and furnishings to the wellness facilities and outdoor space, every detail has been carefully considered. From the outside, Het Huysje is black and stylish, while the interior features many warm and blue tones. That’s where the name “’t Blauwe Huysje” comes from.

The cottage can accommodate up to 4 people, making it ideal for a romantic getaway for two, as well as for a relaxing few days with friends or family. There is one bedroom with a double bed, as well as a double sofa bed in the living room. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided, so you don’t have to worry about a thing.

Inside, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, freezer, oven, microwave, induction cooktop, pots and pans, dishes, silverware, and everything you need to cook delicious meals and enjoy them together. There is no dishwasher, but otherwise the kitchen is fully equipped. There is also a washer-dryer combo, which is especially convenient for longer stays. Additionally, the Huysje has air conditioning, which also serves as basic heating in the winter. For extra warmth and ambiance, the wood-burning stove can also be used indoors.

The bathroom and restrooms have been completely renovated and complement the peaceful and well-maintained atmosphere of the accommodation. Bed linens, towels, kitchen towels, and sauna linens are included, so guests can travel light and start enjoying their stay right away. Final cleaning is fully taken care of. This means that upon departure, guests do not need to remove bedding, wash towels, or perform a thorough cleaning. We charge 75 euros for final cleaning per stay. This ensures that ‘t Blauwe Huysje is fresh, clean, and fully prepared for every guest.

What makes ‘t Blauwe Huysje extra special is the wellness area. Both the sauna and the hot tub are included in the price. The hot tub is normally kept between approximately 30 and 35 degrees by the heat pump, depending on the weather. If you’d like the water even warmer—for example, around 38 or 40 degrees in the winter—simply fill the hot tub’s wood-burning stove completely with wood and light it once. After that, the system does its job, and the hot tub usually reaches a pleasant temperature within 30 to 60 minutes. Firewood is available on site and included in the price. When using the wood-burning stove, we kindly ask guests to always consult the RIVM’s heating guide first and, of course, to use the stove safely and properly.

Outdoors, it’s all about enjoying the water, peace, and nature. 't Blauwe Huysje is situated directly on a dead-end stretch of water and has its own dock. From there, you can head straight out onto the open water. This makes the stay perfect for anyone who loves the water. Two stand-up paddleboards are available for free use, so you can head out onto the water in a relaxed way and explore the surroundings from the water. By arrangement, it’s also possible to moor your own boat at the dock.

Its location in Loosdrecht makes this spot especially appealing. Loosdrecht is known for the Loosdrechtse Plassen and has been a beloved destination for years among water sports enthusiasts, nature lovers, and those seeking peace and quiet. Here, you can go boating, stand-up paddleboarding, sailing, hiking, biking, and enjoy the great outdoors. There are several boat rental options in the area, so you can enjoy a wonderful day on the water even if you don’t have your own boat. A trip across the lakes is one of the most beautiful ways to experience the area.

The area is also ideal for those who enjoy exploring on land. Around Loosdrecht, you’ll find beautiful cycling routes along the water, through nature reserves, and toward charming villages and towns in the region. Think of routes toward the Vecht region, Hilversum, Loenen aan de Vecht, and other lovely spots in the area. Along the way, you’ll come across cozy outdoor cafes, great restaurants, and nice spots for coffee, lunch, or dinner. It’s precisely this combination of water, nature, tranquility, and excellent dining options that makes a stay in this area so appealing.

In addition, ‘t Blauwe Huysje is very centrally located in the Netherlands. Amsterdam, Utrecht, Hilversum, and Loenen aan de Vecht are all within easy reach. As a result, your stay is not only ideal for a purely relaxing wellness weekend but also for guests who want to go on excursions and discover different parts of the region. You’ll enjoy a peaceful stay by the water, yet have plenty of fun places within easy reach.

't Blauwe Huysje is located at Chaletpark Smalland in Loosdrecht, a small-scale park with a peaceful atmosphere. It is explicitly not a place for parties or groups. The stay is intended for rest, wellness, and relaxation. Therefore, we kindly ask guests to be considerate of the park and the surrounding area. Complete silence is required between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. We also ask that you avoid making excessive noise during the day so that everyone can enjoy the peace and nature.

The cottage is also very clearly laid out. Check-in is available starting at 2:00 PM, and check-out must take place no later than 11:00 AM. One car may be parked at the cottage itself in the designated spot. Upon arrival, the tag for the barrier must first be picked up on foot at the cottage. It’s about a 3-minute walk. Upon departure, we ask guests to return the tag to mailbox I5 at the park’s exit.

Free Wi-Fi is available, and there is a smart TV. There is no standard cable TV, but guests can use streaming services or stream content from their phones to the TV. Small dogs are allowed by arrangement. Smoking indoors is not permitted. Children are very welcome, but because the property is located directly on the water and there are no fall barriers, we strongly ask parents and guardians to keep a close eye on them.

Payment is made via bank transfer and must be paid in full in advance. The security deposit is 500 euros and will be refunded within 3 days after departure, provided there is no damage, theft, or other issues. In case of cancellation, the full amount is due. Guests are responsible for obtaining their own insurance if they wish to cover themselves against such risks.

We’d also like to tell you a little about ourselves. We are Take and Myron, and we purchased ‘t Blauwe Huysje in 2025. From the very first moment, we saw how much charm and potential this special spot on the water had. That’s why we completely renovated the property with a lot of love and attention and furnished it entirely to our own taste. In our daily lives, Take works as a commercial director and Myron is a landscape designer. It’s precisely that combination of attention to detail, experience, atmosphere, and charm that you’ll see reflected throughout ‘t Blauwe Huysje. Myron also designed and landscaped the garden in Loosdrecht, ensuring a beautiful flow between the interior and exterior spaces.

We also enjoy using 't Blauwe Huysje ourselves in our private time, precisely because it’s a place for us to unwind, enjoy the water, the sauna, the hot tub, and the beautiful surroundings. To help cover some of the costs, we occasionally rent it out to guests who, like us, are looking for peace, wellness, and a lovely spot in the heart of the Netherlands.
