"Stayed here for 4 nights to attend a conference. All the things I expect from a 5 star hotel plus exceptional service from the staff particularly Chandra at reception. Always ready to help and make life easier for me. Will definitely stay here again when I come back to Tassie."

"This hotel is very chic and art deco with a beautifully heated pool, laundry, parking, with a surprisingly amazing southeast Asian restaurant and bar. The food was top notch. I was pleasantly surprised and if I’m in Hobart again, I will absolutely stay again."

"Beds and bedding were very comfortable. Its a perfect hotel for business travellers, not so great for travellers with hire cars, unless you want to pay $42 for overnight valet parking. I mean this is Hobart folks, not a major mainland city. When asked about recommended alternative parking, the hotel could only spruke its valet parking. Breakfast in the hotel is great for business travellers. The rooms are very small, adequate for overnight requirements. Bathrooms are large as they are built with the disabled in mind, I personally however, am not a fan of plastic shower screens."

"Janina was very welcoming & friendly & offered to help us in any way she could. The apartment was well-appointed, comfortable and warm with a beautiful view over the garden to Kunanyi (Mt Wellington). Convenient location with small shopping centre 750m down the hill. Fresh flowers, milk etc provided a very welcoming touch. Looking forward to staying at Sonningview again."

"Lovely cosy warm home, plenty of room for our three teenage children to spread out and the ping pong table in the basement was an unexpected bonus. Beautiful views, great location."

"Comfortable house with amazing views of Hobart and the Derwent river. It fitted the 5 of us well. The house would not suit anyone with mobility issues as it is on a very steep hill. Buses are close by and Ubers easy to come by to get to Hobart central. Note that there is no spa “pool” but rather there are 2 spa baths. A lovely stay in a very beautiful location. "
