Me and my wife arrived to check in at the hotel around 18:00.
We were faced with nothing but an empty desk therefore, being unable to check in.
I felt i had no choice but speak to staff from nearby shops to see if they had a contact number for the receptionist but had no luck. After waiting for around 25 minutes, the receptionist arrived and apologised as he had to nip to the shops for 5 minutes.
I proceeded to say hewas not gone for 5 mins as I had be waiting for 25 minutes which he replied with ‘it was not 25 minutes, it would have been 7 minutes at the most’
By this point I felt patronised and appalled by his attitude, he done the bare minium and didn’t seem bothered at all.
We were in a bit of a rush as we needed to freshen up and head back out to get to a gig at the London Stadium. Running late, we had no choice but to get an uber and spend money we never intended to spend.
The room was more than suitable as it was only a place to lie our heads for the night although, my wife was disgusted with the plug hole in the shower tray which actually put her off showering. It was as if there was black gunge sitting in it. The noise levels were terrible late at night and in the morning mainly to do with the doors slamming shut. (Could do with soft close doors). Mattresses were rather firm and could kind of feel the springs however, to my surprise we actually slept ok.
I hope this review has been helpful and what has been discussed will be addressed to improve this hotel.
