Belview

We booked a double standard room which was so tiny. No place to put luggage. The bathroom was so tiny, an acquaintance described it like a coffin! The hotel upgraded us to a bigger room ( at cost) but was so much better. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Hotel was a short walk to Hyde Park & Paddington Station, very convenient.

Beautiful hotel with a great staff. The location is very convenient. The only downside is the rooms are very small. If you are a tall / big person this might not be the hotel for you.

We got one of the smaller room and it was small but I did know that going in. Bathroom sink was tiny and you couldn't wash your hands without gettting the floor wet, but the shower was good size. Lots of food options in the area and a beautiful are of new building and food option along the canal just a couple of blocks north of the hotel.

Check-in experience was excellent and the ability to store luggage before our room was ready was very welcome. Room was very clean. The only complaint was that the basin in the bathroom was extremely tiny.

Very convenient for an overnight stay close to Paddington, and perhaps the best option on its street of lined up hotels. The bed was comfortable but the room was matchbox sized.

I have never stayed in a room where there was nowhere to hang your clothes other than one hook on the wall. No closet, no hangers. Nothing. Not great for a business trip when you need your shirts to be hung properly.

Whilst the rooms are tiny, and surrounding area undesirable, this boutique hotel is beautifully designed with polished finishing and thoughtful layout. Most definitely the best hotel in the area by far.

Beyond snug!

Hotel is smart. The room is luxurious (i.e.bedding), but very small. Kettle unnecessarily complicated and sink so small that you can barely fill the kettle! No mini bar/fridge, no iron, no desk. Free drink voucher but no one in the bar to serve it (tried twice)

This is a beautiful, obviously newly renovated hotel done in lovely decor. It is perfectly situated (5 minute walk) from Paddington Station which is why we chose it. The staff were welcoming and gracious. Our room, charmingly called a "cabin" was ridiculously small even for London standards which is why I gave the 2 star rating. Due to some glitch the door to our room did not have a room number (?). We did have a king size bed with beautiful linen but the only other piece of furniture in the room was a small day bed located 14 inches from the bed. This was the only place to put our two carry on suitcases. The room had no closet, chair, dresser, desk, luggage rack nor any place these items could have been located. With our (very small) suitcases on the daybed there was no other place to sit in the room besides the bed.The bathroom was reasonable size but alas, no place to set down toiletries. There were only 2 electrical outlets in the entire room. The view from our window was an outside staircase. The hotel does have a gym but my husband was told that it was already occupied by the maximum of 2 people and he was thus unable to use it.

The hotel impressed me very much for its cleanliness and security features, and we were very comfortable sleeping there. But I have to say, I was quite taken aback by how small the room and bathroom were. The room was almost exactly the size of the bed. There was no closet, nor any place to hang anything. The bathroom had a normal size shower but a miniscule sink that made it difficult to wash.

Overall, the standout was the friendly staff and service, but seems like this is a new hotel which is still figuring out some kinks. Although supposedly designed by experienced hoteliers, there were some basic things which they didn't get right. See below for pros and cons: Pros: *Since the hotel is brand new, the rooms appear renovated and modern with nice, though basic, decor. *Really well-dressed and friendly staff who have a positive “can do” attitude. Usually interactions with hotel staff can be perfunctory, but these guys were really friendly and personable. *The mattress, bed sheets and pillows are comfortable, particularly the mattress is nice and firm *Pin needed to enter the front door, good security * TV and Chromecast is available. * The neighborhood itself (Paddington) isn’t anything too special but the hotel is only 5 mins walk from Paddington station, which is a really big and convenient station with lots of train lines. Cons * The shower curtain does not reach the bottom of the shower cubicle and so there will be leakage of water causing the bathroom to be wet. This seemed to be a rookie design flaw. * No air ventilation in the bathroom and so the mirror and walls have condensation and don’t clear unless you manually wipe it away * Very minimalist and spartan room, no closet or even hooks to hang jackets and coats * No tables or chairs * A tiny/narrow (barely) full length mirror * Layout was a bit weird, had to open and get thru 3 doors to get to the room

Bel hôtel, beau décor, pratique. Bien localisé à côté de Paddington Station - pratique pour les déplacements. Nous avions la Cabin Small room (à peine 100pied carré). Nous étions en connaissance de cause, la chambre est vraiment petite, mais pratique. Par contre, le lavabo est vraiment minuscule. Personnel bien gentil et agréable. Un peu dispendieux pour le produit, mais quand même accessible. Le parti bar est idéal pour un 5-7 rapide ou travailler un peu en fin de journée.

Disappointing stay

The room was noisey and the door is close to the next room so you can hear loud door opening and closing. The bathroom shower curtain had mold on it. The mini bar had several items missing on arrival which I brought to the attention of reception staff as i did not wish to be charged for items that I did not consume. The girls at reception were pleasant however their manager was not so. I did not feel welce and left earlier than planned even though I could have had an extended check out as a gold member.He was not interested in appeasing a situation and seemed to have very poor people skills so I am not sure how he became a manager.
