Check was good and front desk member very friendly. Room was a tad on the small side ( probably the smallest hotel room I’ve stayed in) only access to the bed on one side and no bedside chest just a small shelf. We weren’t overly bothered as we literally only spent a few hours there. Read on other reviews that there was no tea/coffee making facilities so we took our own. Only 2 hangers provided and only 1 socket so if you both want to charge your phone this could be an issue. Room was clean, bed comfy, bathroom clean and liquid soap provided. It’s quite a busy area close to East Croydon train station so expect some noise. Overall good value

Decent room. I only stayed for 1 night, for convenience. It was quiet enough, apart from some odd sounding pipe/boiler sound throughout the entire evening. I took earplugs so it didn't bother me, just something to note. The water pressure and temperature drops off ever 2 seconds which is really weird. I had that happen the previous time I was staying here as well. There's no glasses or cups to use for water which isn't ideal. Bed is comfy, AC/heating works well, staff pleasant.

It's cheap depending on the day and an easy 20 minutes ride in to the city on the Thameslink for around £4.50 one way. The pillows were fine for me others may find them too flat/cheap, the beds aren't comfortable and are quite hard. The noise form the AC even when turned off is annoying at best. Also can hear street noise too. The showers have infrequent pressure. Very minimal storage with no desk and one side table. Not ideal for a light sleeper or for anyone with much luggage, however if you're a heavy sleeper and just looking for cheap and easy access to London, can be a decent place.

Basic but balanced

Great location. Very basic but staff helpful, bed was comfortable and much welcome air con in the room. There is a vending machine and another self pay coffee machine in reception. There are paid options for early check in and late check out which are really handy.

Great Budget Option

We were looking for a hotel with easy access to Gatwick Airport and we were very happy with our stay here. The check in staff was friendly, the room was clean and you are very close to anything you would need. The train station is right across the street.

It is very close to Easy Croydon station with a Sainsburys local near by, so it was perfect for a night stay before flying out early the next day from Gatwick. The room was however a bit basic, hair dryer to be requested from reception and no kettle in case you want to make a drink. Room was good and it was comfortable. The building was a bit old but the interior is not bad at all.

Very basic, very small room, but generally clean and secure. Great if you just need a bed for the night. We will use this hotel again in future.
