"This cozy little house on the water was perfect for me and my son, his wife and baby for a long weekend while visiting family in the area. Our host Angie was very accommodating as we had to change our reservation twice due to weather. The house itself is super cute - a creative makeover from what it once was, a seafood business on one of the waterways leading to the ICW. If you love to boat or fish - this place is golden! Even if that’s not your thing, I really enjoyed mornings watching the various species of waterfowl fishing as the tide came in over coffee. The house itself is wonderfully decorated and the kitchen is very well equipped for entertaining. We hosted a dinner for 10 total with family in the area one evening without any issues at all. There is a large charcoal grill/smoker on the deck and plenty of outdoor furniture to sit and eat or just enjoy the view. The beds were very comfortable too. Our host included thoughtful touches like toilet paper and paper towels, hand and dish soap and detergents so we did not have to buy those items. I highly recommend and would stay here again. "

We brought our bikes and it was plenty of biking trails. Great plus was golf cart that you can use it for close drive to the beach."

"Sawyer's Sandcastle is an absolute gem. We've been coming to OKI for years and this might have been our best experience yet. The house is in a fantastic location for enjoying all OKI has to offer, close to Lonerider Brewery, the Point, and with a convenient beach access just steps away. The house is beautiful, thoughtfully appointed for families, and packed with amenities. Smart TVs in every room, comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen, covered decks with nice seating on both levels and both sides of the house, a golf cart, pool - and pet friendly! The incredibly responsive owner and property manager made for a smooth and enjoyable stay. And we appreciated the well beach shed packed with chairs, a beach cart, sand toys, pool floats, and more. The house also features stunning views of both the sound and the beach - meaning sunrise and sunsets are both spectacular. This property has everything you could possibly want to enjoy Oak Island to the fullest with friends or family. "

"This was one of the best houses I have ever stayed at on the island. The place was super clean, and in great shape. the elevator was a big plus for our handicap dad and injured brother. The only minimal complaint i have is the shower heads are not effective in wetting a person LOLWe loved how all the light switches and other things were labeled. We did not get in the pool due to temperatures, but the hot tub was a welcome amenity after a long day of fishing. I would give a 6 star if available "
