"The location, number of BRs and baths, the pergola, and lot are terrific! The house is old and tired with the problems of age with needed m&r. Low grade furniture, matrasses, bed sheets, cutlery, towels. Limited storage and many closets were locked off with old junk stored in closets. The appliances and hvac are renewed and good. The pergola is great, but all the decks are very weathered. Mold in bathrooms. We enjoyed our stay but were disappointed with the condition of the property. "

"The home was beautiful and the location was perfect. The downside of our week long stay was that the beach outside the house was being dredged and there were lights, heavy equipment and noise 24/7. That ruined the atmosphere for sure, but was not Heather's fault and shouldn't affect other renters. House was clean and we loved the layout and all the blankets for snuggling on the big couch in the main downstairs room. "

"This was a great property and amenities. We loved the heated pool and screened in porch. We had a few hiccups but property manager was very quick to get everything fixed for us. Only negative thing I would report is the golf cart is old and we didn’t feel was safe. Could only get up to speeds of 15 at the highest. "

"Sawyer's Sandcastle is an absolute gem. We've been coming to OKI for years and this might have been our best experience yet. The house is in a fantastic location for enjoying all OKI has to offer, close to Lonerider Brewery, the Point, and with a convenient beach access just steps away. The house is beautiful, thoughtfully appointed for families, and packed with amenities. Smart TVs in every room, comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen, covered decks with nice seating on both levels and both sides of the house, a golf cart, pool - and pet friendly! The incredibly responsive owner and property manager made for a smooth and enjoyable stay. And we appreciated the well beach shed packed with chairs, a beach cart, sand toys, pool floats, and more. The house also features stunning views of both the sound and the beach - meaning sunrise and sunsets are both spectacular. This property has everything you could possibly want to enjoy Oak Island to the fullest with friends or family. "
