"Great welcome by Alison , super room with a view to die for ! Lounge area by the log burner was perfect to relax and enjoy a glass of wine. Evening dining was available which was fabulous and very high quality. Breakfast was also excellent made all the more special looking out to the view of the Loch . "The Tarbet hotel was our favorite stay of our 9 day trip to Scotland. The historic building on the shores of loch Lomond was peaceful and serene. The staff was great and even upgraded our room for free which was a real treat. The restaurant and drinks were good as well. The real show stopper is the view of the loch and the location. "

Not much in the immediate area food wise (would need to drive to Balloch for any alternative dining options) but the food at Oaktree was lovely, tasty and filling. Good choice of whisky too."
