"A perfect welcome to the perfect cottage located in the most beautiful spot. Everything I needed was there. The cottage was superb. Helen and Claire made me welcome and went above and beyond, recommending walks and providing me with everyhing to make the most of a short stay. I would highly recommend this cottage and location. A short walk into town, but in the country, surrounded by birdsong and views, with great walks in your door step."

When it's sunny you can sit in front of the house or lie in the grass, when there's rain you can huddle inside or sit under the canopy. "This was our first time staying here and it certainly won't be our last. The shepherd's hut is beautifully decorated and has such a cosy and comfortable feel to it. The under floor heating kept it lovely and warm too despite the snow outside (which also made it super pretty). "Stayed here for work for 2 nights. Everything was, on the whole, good. Staff were mostly helpful, the restaurant was very nice with good food, the room was nice enough and comfortable. If I had to ask the hotel to do better on a few things it would be this: 1. The sinks sit on the table in the bathroom, and hard to clean behind, so it looks like the cleaners just don't bother. Desperately needs a deep clean. 2. Doors and windows in my room didn't lock properly. I did report it, but they were still like it when I left. 3. the WiFi is horrendous. I needed to work in my room, but just couldn't. It's better in communal areas, but still not great. If you need WiFi, you might want to look elsewhere. Being really fussy... conditioner would be good too! I forgot mine, and was abruptly told by reception that there is no conditioner onsite! There were lots of couples and families here too and all seemed to be having a jolly nice time. "

"Hotel was just ok, but they had an open fire in the reception area, which basically smelled the whole of the hotel out, and our clothes still smell of it. Had to leave the bedroom window open all night to let fresh air in, even though my wife was cold. On the plus side I would definitely go back to Llangollen it was lovely, but would not stay at this hotel."

"Am giving yhis a very low rateing of 2 stars. I payed £130 for a room breakfast and use of pool. Put on arrival i got told pool and sauna is not included to which i had tp pay exter £10 each. The pool and the spa was cold The steam room stayed on for 5min then went off for 10min as it was on a timer we then had to pay extra for breakfast This is not clealy showing on there site as you pay for just room only. when i booked myself in at the desk the afternoon staff at the desk were very helpful. The next mornin i went down to the deck To be stud around for 10min as no staff were on the desk. I then came back down to hand my key in. Myself and 2 other customers was stud around again for 10min as no staff. But some good points the Rooms were clean and bed was really comfortable. I will not be staying at that hotel again as it miss leadingthat you have to pay extra for breakfast, the use of the pool and towels. "

"Extremely pleasant and accommodating staff. Room was clean and warm as was the en-suite. Bed was very comfortable. Plenty of various tea and coffee sachets available in addition to milks and sweeteners etc. Breakfast was freshly cooked to liking. Although I had no problem parking, the car park is small with limited street parking opposite, which potentially could be an issue during busy periods. Overall, staying at The Talbot was an excellent experience. "
