Great place

Excellent well appointed and very comfortable. The owners were welcoming and the extras in the room were a lovely touch. The breakfast was delicious with high quality ingredients and plenty of it. The communal lounge a nice touch with the honesty bar. Would highly recommend.

Mark and Karen are fantastic hosts. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and many extras are provided. The breakfast foods prepared by Karen are delicious!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. Mark and Karen were superb hosts and clearly take pride and care in providing a great experience for their guests, Everything, from the warm welcome to the super comfortable and pristine room and the tasty, well presented breakfast was top notch. Everywhere smells lovely and fresh too! The comfortable lounge area is a little oasis and the honesty bar a great touch, a lovely space to relax and round the evening off with a night cap. The New White Lion is a real gem, highly recommend.

You could not expect any more from a hotel.

Had a 3 night stay at The new white lion in Llandovery. The room was spotless packed with everything you would expect. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice and good quality ingredients. The hot breakfasts were cooked to perfection. The hosts were extremely friendly, giving plenty of help and ideas on what to do whilst there, nothing was too much trouble. Thanks for everything and we hope to come again soon.

What a lovely night away. Mark and Karen were brilliant hosts. Clean rooms with all the amenities you need. Great array of drinks and snacks available. Soft towels and comfy beds. Delicious breakfast cooked by Karen. All the ingredients were excellent quality and cooked excellently. A perfect little base for a weekend in Wales. We enjoyed walking Pen Y fan. Mark recommended a local pub for a drink in the evening and there was some live music going on. Karen even gave us some pastries to enjoy on our walk.

Stayed for 1 night and wish could have stayed longer The hotel is absolutely lovely - lovely complimentary freshly baked cakes & biscuits and everywhere spotlessly clean Our room was full of character and lovely touches - Clarins toiletries, chocolates and an impressive tea tray The host are to welcoming and friendly - nothing is too much trouble 5* breakfast individually made

I would give it 10 out of 10 and rather wish we had our last night here rather than our first night as where are staying now feels very mediocre compared to the New Red Lion. We will definitely return. Everything was superb.

Absolutely fabulous!

Our stay at the New white Lion Hotel was amazing. The owner was so welcoming and took special care to explain everything. The room itself was gorgeous and my partner and I slept really well. The breakfast was very special. With a bespoke Kenyan inspired dish (as our host was originally from Kenya), was very tasty indeed. There was an obvious attention to detail that made our stay really relaxing.

Lovely boutique hotel

A lovely boutique hotel run by a charming lady who is a very welcoming hostess. The bed was super comfortable. There seemed to be two breakfast sittings (on the Sunday we had breakfast) and the 8.30am was full by the time we arrived so we were given the 9.30am slot. Breakfast was delicious with a choice of full English or the house special, Kenyan Masai.

Absolutely fantastic stay!! Superb owner who was so welcoming and friendly. She made us feel very special and took a lot of care to make sure we had a great stay. She even went out of her way to make us a fantastic breakfast to suit our particular dietary needs without making us get up too early. Wonderful room, extremely clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wanted to spoilt themselves whilst relaxing in luxury.
