"The place was fully deprecated. Peeling paint, etc. staff very nice but understaffed. Waited 20 min for valet. Only 2 valets working and I think one was a substitute. Building needs a freshen up"

"I just love staying at this hotel. It’s so unique in its style and overall atmosphere. I finally enjoyed the bar and restaurant this trip. The bartender was so nice and made a great cocktail! I tried the fried green tomato sliders… OMG! Outstanding. Also, it’s nice it’s so close to University of Kentucky where my kiddo goes to school now."

"Anton was very helpful organizing my check-in after hours. Breakfast was great, my room was clean and comfortable, and the property looked amazing."

"The front desk staff and valets were top notch, professional and friendly. Rooms were somewhat dated, but clean overall, except for the lower shelves of the bathroom vanity which was dirty and dusty, including the hairdryer. The pool area was very nice and clean, and our little ones had a good time there. The huge seling point for this hotel is it's being connected to the Rupp Center. I would definitely stay here for any event I was attending at the Rupp Center. The breakfast bar had a good selection, but ridiculous price. We have received breakfast bars that were just as good and with just as much variety for free at cheaper hotels in large cities. $26.00 per person is way too much. As well, when I tipped my waitress, she did not bring my change back and I had given a 20% tip."

"Coming for bourbon? DO NOT waste your time with the rooftop bar on site. Overpriced doesn't even begin to fully detail how this bar prices mid-level pours. The place you want to go to is Harry's Bar right on the corner next to this hotel. AMAZING selection, decent pricing, great atmosphere. Avoid Bluegrass Tavern while you're at it. They may offer the most bottles you'll ever see, but they're not transparent on pricing. You get the feeling they price you, not the bottle when they don't have to go to the register that often on bottles that have dust one them. Only 8-12 pours have listed prices, the rest they say would be too hard to print out and offer pricing for (unlike every other place in the area)."

"The host Seth was amazing and he was very prompt and provided all the information throughout without having to be asked. The place is beautiful!!! So much to do close by and within an hour drive in any direction ."
