The room looked cute when we booked- and we were not disappointed. Staff were sooo friendly and helpful. I came down with a cold and was desperate for a cup of hot tea. You would think the staff had nothing else to do than cater to a sick woman. But they did cater to me, despite having a busy dining room and other guests. Not . the fanciest place I have ever stayed, but they make up for it with service. And it was cute

Friendly staff, great location, and lovely live music in the restaurant. The hotel, however, was disappointing, as it did not match the photos and clearly needed a great deal of cleaning and upgrading. In particular, our bathroom was a concern. We didn’t feel comfortable using the shower, as the tub, grout and shower curtain were quite stained. Overall the room was lacking attention to detail to make the space feel welcoming for guests (e.g., odd furniture and artwork layout, compost bins being used as trash bins, decor and curtains lacking the historic style charm of the Inn). We noticed some maintenance work happening on the exterior, which is encouraging. With some additional attention to the interiors, this property has so much potential to be a really great place to stay.

Lane’s is conveniently located close to the centre of Liverpool within short walking distance to shops and local attractions such as the Trestle Trail and Hell’s Bay Brewing Company and a short drive away from Cosby’s and beautiful beaches. Though a bit dated, the room was clean, comfortable and reflected a historic charm. The grounds offer a park like feel with a chance to watch seals chasing fish on the river. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. The restaurant didn’t disappoint with a cozy atmosphere, traditional menu and selection of local wines and beers. It was a great choice for a mini weekend escape.

Staff were excellent. Helpfull and polite. The restaurant menu was great as well as our dinner. If you like local beer Dirty Blonde beer was terrific. Although the weather was very cold and wet Inn was comfortable and friendly. It is also a short walk to grocery, drug stores and for a great cappaccino try Main & Mercy downtown

The grounds were very nice, beautiful scenery, close to all amenities. The room was nice, the bed was very unique, the mattress wasn’t very comfortable, the duvet had something on it which we didn’t use. The top sheet had stains like dye or something. We would go back for one night. The restaurant was nice, very pleasant waitress, the food is delicious, but the prices are quite high. We did enjoy our stay.
