"The best budget hotel I stayed in Taiwan by far. Breakfast is great, room is well kept and fancy, and the staff are super nice.
I would highly recommend to anyone who is staying in the area."
"Plenty nearby when it comes to food, shopping and transportation. 5 minute walk to Taichung station, as well directly downstairs from the hotel is the asean centre which provides lots of little stall markets and food options. "
"The area was quiet and safe. There are small cafes and restaurants around. Walking distance to the market and Taichung station.
The hotel room was OK but quite small. Staff were helpful and nice.

"Nice new-looking hotel. Very clean and comfortable room. Liked the special exhibition at the fine arts museum across the road. Breakfast was a little limited compared to other hotels we stayed."
"All staff are very nice, friendly, and helpful. Housekeeping staff always work hard and do excellent jobs in keeping the place clean and tidy. Love the place and its people."

"We really enjoyed our stay at The Splendor and would stay again. The hotel is in a great location, close to shopping and restaurants. It's also a short walk to the botanical gardens. Our room was very clean. It's an older hotel so a bit shabby in places. Scuff marks on the walls for example. Also the beds are very hard, but I was told this is typical in that area. Overall a lovely stay though."
"We really enjoyed the whole time in Taichung, starting with the hotel. Try the ice cream, the noodles at second market, the orihinal bubble tea shop!"
