Super location! Beautiful rooms and a great view of the river from our room and their dining terrace. Breakfast was not only delicious but reasonable. The service was outstanding by all staff… they clearly love what they do.

Gorgeous boutique hotel with a fantastic view. All staff were very friendly and genuinely wanted your stay to be great. The buffet breakfast was good, with the dining room being on the terrace with a view. Really liked this property!

Our stay was excellent. The staff went above and beyond to take care of us and our bags. The rooms are very unique and fun. Everything you’d ever need is within walking distance including the large city square full of shops and dining.

Francois, Rio and all of the staff were very attentive ensuring that all our needs weee met. It was really well located with everything within 15 minute walk. There was great little artisan shops and Padgett shops in the same block as well as Chapito which was an awesome restaurant. We loved it!

Love, love, love Solar dos Mouros. Wonderful, friendly and helpful staff, nice, clean rooms, beautiful views and good food... I could continue to rave about them but you should check them out yourself. You will not be disappointed. I highly recommend Solar dos Mouros.

We had a wonderful stay at Solar dos Mouros. Centrally located - just steps from Castelo de Sao Jorge - with numerous dining and shopping options in the immediate vicinity, Solar dos Mouros was the perfect point-of-departure for exploring all that Lisbon has to offer. We stayed in the Duplex Suite with windows on three sides, offering stunning river, city, and street views. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were very gracious and accommodating. Francois, in particular, was the perfect host, greeting us each morning with a radiant smile, offering suggestions on sights to see, and facilitating interactions among the guests. The only thing we would change would be to stay longer next time.

We had a wonderful time at Solar dos Mouros in Lisbon. We stayed at the top floor terrace with a deluxe suite that had a stunning view of the city and the river from the balcony. The room was spacious, comfortable. The only drawback is that there is no elevator in the property, so we had to walk 72 flights of stairs up to our room daily. However, this was not a big problem for us as we enjoyed the exercise and the charming atmosphere of the hotel. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They helped us carry our heavy luggage up and down the stairs when we checked in and out. They also gave us great recommendations for places to visit and eat in Lisbon. The included daily breakfast was tasty and varied, with fresh bread, cheese, ham, fruit, yogurt and coffee. The surrounding areas and streets near the hotel are just delightful. We loved exploring the narrow alleys, colorful buildings and quaint shops of Alfama district. The Number 28 tram is just a few minutes walk away from the hotel, which makes it easy to get to other parts of the city. We highly recommend Solar dos Mouros for anyone looking for a unique and memorable stay in Lisbon.

Sentralt på høyden nedenfor slottet. Bolt og uber stopper ikke ved døra. Må gå litt. Trange trapper opp etasjene til rommet, men de ansatte er innstilte på å bære bagasjen. Restaurant med utsikt og terrasse med enkel mat ved resepsjonen. Hyggelig personale. Stort rom, men utsikt opp mot slottet. Klønete baderomsdørløsning. «Terrassen» er en trang mezzanin med air-con bokser i veien. Hyggelig med velkomstdrikk. Kjøleskap på rommet.

It was an amazing stay from begining to end. The staff was so friendly abd accomodating and went above & beyond any hotel we stayed at it in Portugal. The views & location are amaxing. I highly Recommend the Top Floor Terrace Room.

I will start with the negative to end on a positive note. This hotel is an old building with NO ELEVATOR. It is unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues or a heart condition. Our balcony suite was 82 steps up on the fifth floor (floor six in the US). I am giving it a one-star due to the lack of a clear warning about this. The “suite” was an average room with no working station. The unshaded terrace had a southern exposure so it could not be used either on hot sunny days during peak temperatures (2PM to 6PM), or on rainy days. The bathroom had weak water pressure and it took three minutes to get hot water. Now for the good. The spacious terrace featured a TRULY SPECTACULAR VIEW of the river. We didn't want to leave (not least because we would had to climb 82 steps to get back up.) The staff were super friendly and helpful without exception. The complimentary port carafe in the room was a nice touch. The location was a four-minute walk to Saint George’s Castle and a public elevator that saved seven floors of steps to town. Hint: Skip the hotel breakfast. Plenty of nice eateries are nearby.

We stayed in the terrace suite, Santa Catarina. The view was literally the best view in Lisbon and we didn’t want to leave the patio. The staff was amazing and they took care of the luggage, but still a bit of up and down and not great if you have mobility issues. Only drawback was 5-6 flights of stairs and no elevator. Service was fantastic
