Very disappointed with the host's lack of understanding and their dishonesty. My family and I had this condo booked for 2/9-2/12, and I am aware that it was a non-refundable reservation.However, on 2/2, my daughter had a medical emergency and lost her baby. I emailed the host and asked if we could either get a refund, or if we would be able to reschedule the reservation for a few weeks later. She responded and said she would provide a refund if she was able to rent the unit.Three days later, I got an email saying "The Host has approved your cancellation", and the email specifically noted I would be getting a full refund. I even emailed her to thank her for her generosity.Three weeks went by and there was no refund. I reached out to her and she did not respond. I later reached out to VRBO support multiple times. Each time they said they reached out to the host, and she told them she was not refunding the money.Very frustrating that she led me to believe it would be refunded (and I have an email showing the full refund would be sent), and then she failed to do so, and has been unresponsive.
