"We liked the cleanliness and layout of the room. The location was an easy walk to the train station (without bags if you’re in your 60’s). Staff were very helpful, even made a to-go bag when we had to catch a flight before breakfast was served. The stairs from the elevator to the room were an annoyance, and the door handle on our room was partially unscrewed."

"The air con was amazing in the current heat. The space inside was great. The location was pretty good. The whole area and especially the room smelt a bit like sewage. The electric gate was noisy and disturbing. The note to clean dishes or get fined was unnecessarily aggressive. Not sure why they have to take £50 deposit. No other hotel we stayed in did."

"Wonderful place to stay while getting oriented to the city. Everyone was very nice and helpful, and our family of four felt comfortable and at home. Location is perfect—train station and restaurants right nearby; easy walk to city center—and the hostel itself has plenty of pleasant spaces to land Definitely a lot of stairs (on the steep/short tread depth side), which caught us off-guard with heavy luggage, but we managed and it was definitely worth it. Accessibility issues could be challenging at other times."

"The hotel was excellent. Staff was wonderful. We loved the hotel. The greatest amenity was it was so close to everything that you could walk to a different café every day you were there. Next time we come to Maastricht we will definitely book this hotel again. Can’t say enough good things about the staff the amenities and the location."

"Beautiful, older hotel that needs some TLC. Very friendly staff who are always there to help. The room was relatively clean but is desperate for a make over.....it's showing its age. The hotel decor is quite old fashioned with lots of dark wood and old furniture but still very comfortable. Unfortunately, it's not very good value for money. We stayed for 2 nights which were really quite expensive but it was during an Andre Reiu concert weekend so it's only to be expected. The location is ideal for train travellers, which we were, being literally 100 yards from the station. However, it's on the wrong side of the river for the beautiful old town of Maastricht and the big square where the concert is....about 25 minute slow walk. Would we return? Absolutely."
