"One of the most beautiful cabins we've stayed in during our trip to Austria – just a short drive from Vienna. The cabin is fully equipped and feels just like home. The lake and mountains across from it are some of the most stunning we've seen. The water is clean and pleasant to swim in. Unfortunately, I didn’t receive the check-in instructions in time – make sure to confirm them the day before. Other than that, everything was clean, quiet, and highly recommended. Die Einwohner sind freundlich und entspannt. Der Ort ist sehr gepflegt. Leider war das Grundstück nicht komplett umzäunt, wie ausgeschrieben, das war sehr ärgerlich und stressig, da wir deshalb mit unseren beiden Hunden dieses Haus gebucht hatten. "Tollen Urlaub in phantastischer Umgebung erlebt. Das Apartment war liebvolle eingerichtet und es wir konnten auf dem Balkon beim Frühstück die wunderschöne Aussicht genießen. Dank der vielen Tipps von Fr König viel gesehen und auch unser Hund kam auf seine Kosten (Hundestrand). Wenn Niederösterreich wieder, dann wieder bei Fr König!"

"If you’re planning to visit Melk Abbey, be aware that Hotel Donauhof is not within walking distance—you’ll need to take a taxi, which costs about €16 each way. Alternatively, there's a bus that runs only once per hour. The hotel provides no in-room amenities—not even, tea or bottled water—and there is no air conditioning, which can be uncomfortable in the warmer months after June. There are no activity area around the hotel, with no restaurants nearby except the hotel’s own. During our stay, the elevator was out of order, and we had to carry our suitcases up the stairs. If you're visiting Melk Abbey, I would recommend staying in Melk itself. You'll find similar or lower prices, access to a charming small town, and several dining options within walking distance. "
