Property is very good with 4+swimming pool and 3+ jacuzzi’s. Resort clean and nice close to Lihue Airport, close to POIPU beach, Shiva Temple, Lydgate Beach etc. only our booking through Expedia ( 3rd party) reservation hotel says we are not getting room service. There is no water bottles in the room.

Great little ocean front resort. We missed our flight and had to book a couple nights asap- booking this room through a private party online was much cheaper than going through the front desk. Since we booked last minute there was a bit of confusion at checkin time but the friendly staff got it all figured out for us. Lovely facilities, beautifully decorated lobby for Christmas, food was yummy at Shutters. Our favorite part was probably the valet staff- loved chatting with them and they were all like instant friends!

Unit is privately owned. No cleaning services. Very hard to contact the owner of the unit and front desk provide telephone number and email address. When booking should advise the guests that unit is privately owned. Front staff is friendly and beach bar staff is good.

Bed springs poking us in our sides all night, beds definitely worn out. Fridge didn’t work correctly resulting in Luke warm drinks. Room door was unsafe. As the automatic shut shock was hair triggered and slammed both my wife and I into the door jam. However, I am grateful for the stay, staff and the overall facility. Blessed to experience the adventure and beautiful journey. Loved all of the people.

The Kaua'i Beach Resort is a lovely property and the staff went above and beyond with their service. Room#2417 is a room at the resort that is privately owned. The room itself was clean but there were a few details that were not provided prior to booking that caught us off guard upon arrival. 1. There is a daily parking fee that applies 2. Housekeeping is available with a fee and upon request. 3. The shower pressure in the room is very low. 4. The bathroom door is difficult to lock. 5. There was rust around the drain in the shower. 6. The room had a musty smell.

Room was too outdated. Staff were fantastic, Didn’t have to use the hot tub and spa. Parking charges is ridiculously expensive although knew that per booking. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet every day to start our day and had a great time mainly relaxing by the pool and walks on the beach.

The room was not equipped as expected, (eg. cheap TV without cable that turned on at night by itself, alarm clock and most furniture was broken, sink leaked all night…). I didn’t see the other poor reviews until after I had booked, so unfortunately I could not cancel.

The service at the front desk was slow, we came around 10pm, was asking for some drinks at the bar ( bartenders were still there) they told the bar is closed, OK, we left for checking the pools and outdoor territory, when we came back we saw one of the bartenders was selling drinks, we smiled and asked “ so you are open or not?” Just because they were caught- they sold us 4 beers)) The room is old, smells like grandma’s closet, faucet is leaking, shower had no pressure, takes like 30 min to get some wet, tv turns on in the middle of the night, in general if you are out somewhere on the island for a whole day , tired like crazy and just go to the room for sleep - it is ok!

The facilities were nice, it was a bit frustrating in getting around, it was advertised that there was airport pick up and shuttles to the local shopping centers, but there was not. I didn't rent a car but should have, parking was so expensive, ubers were so expensive and food at the hotel was so expensive. The restaurants would were not accommodating, I brought my grand daughter and she was getting a little home sick and really wanted to have comfort food, but she was too old for the chicken strips and the waiter would not get them for her. He said if he gave her them he would have to charge her more. She would have been happy to get the child's portion.

Our honeymoon slept on two double beds.

When I booked the room st the Ocean Front Kauai resort, I was not told I was reserving a privately owned room. We had access to most of the hotel adminities like the pools, workout room, restaurants & etc. The shuttle used for to customers to and from the hotel and airport was not ours to use nor was daily maid service. Since the room was private we needed to call the owner for clean towels. We were offered to wash the towels at the on site laundry. The staff were great except our final night at dinner, the server didn’t listen when we ordered ours meals and charged for two doubles drinks we did not have. On our last night we were told the Kauai Beach Resort had a new owner, a big big hotel company. I look forward to see the changes made to polish up the resort.
