"I’d like to start by saying this was an amazing experience. - Expect Baru Island prices - you are also welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks there’s a fridge in every room! Staff is incredible and welcoming - front desk both the lady and the man are incredible! Bartenders… amazing. Overall - everyone is nice and polite- definitely coming back! As for the hotel itself I’ll say this: paradise. Baru itself is far away from the city so expect open roads (if you can afford to pay oxen transportation take that - much cooler) The hotel will handle your transportation! "

"Our stay at Las Islas was nothing short of amazing! The resort is literally built within a mangrove forest and surrounded by everything that lives there. We stayed in one of the treetop bungalows and was visited by a range of animals daily. We saw a variety of birds, reptiles, mammals, insects, and fishes, such as iguanas, spiders, racoons, etc. It was easy to lose ourselves in nature. We had breakfast overwater, lunch on the beach and dinner surrounded by lush forest. The entire experience was mind-blowing, yet peaceful and relaxing. We even had a few nights of stormy weather that was both exciting for me and a bit scary for my wife at the same time. All of the staff we interacted with were always polite and friendly. Even their uniforms added to welcoming and peaceful nature of the resort. A simple walk or bicycle ride (yep, we had these to move around the resort) to the various restaurants were met with smiling faces and greetings from everyone. We had daily housekeeping, and top ups of fruits and water if we needed it. We also spent an evening on neighbouring Isletta, where we had a late lunch. The island is small, but unique in its vegetation and wildlife. It was a very peaceful evening. The staff was just as friendly and welcoming. You have access to a range of watersports, a swmming pool, and the beach. We would definitely recommend and we will be revisiting when time allows "

"The receptionist spoke no English. The room had no safe. A cockroach was in the room. There was no “Tranquility” at Freedom Beach. Not anything near what was expected. The only quiet time is after 20:00 hours when the crowds which start arriving at 9:00, have gone home. Disappointed. The bathroom was so poor, I couldn’t take a shower or sit on the toilet. "
