Party of three, took two rooms, stayed one night. We had an absolutely wonderful stay. This is a quaint hidden gem. The staff is extremely helpful, and knowledgeable.
Lots of trails for hiking. Would definitely stay again. And of course, recommend this to our friends and family.
Really enjoyed our stay there. Manger accommodated us for drinks a little later than normal as we got in a little late for Checkin. Nice place. Dinner menu look good. Only issue was the noise. Not much insulation in the rooms so heard ppl in near by rooms. Not something that can be fixed very easily. But I would stay there again.
Beautiful quiet setting, small but comfortable room and great outdoor area for our dogs. Stayed in the Charlie Russell room and loved the decor. No air conditioner but fans kept room comfortable. Would have liked to have been able to try out restaurant but it was closed during our visit. The 20 minute drive from town was well worth it.
The resort was small, but cute. It had a really great location off the beaten track right at the Limekiln trailhead and 7 miles from Lewiston.
Unfortunately, the restaurant is not open every night so had a bit of a drive to get food in town.
Now the disappointment:
The complimentary continental breakfast was lots of old looking food wrapped in cellophane and dry cereal. Just like at motel 6.
We arrived after 6 so no staff on site. Got a welcome email with entry code, so like an arb&b.
The only staff we encountered was a very surly woman at the continental breakfast area the next morning. She stared at us the whole time in a hostile way and was distinctly unhappy about making another pot of coffee after she filled her cup and there was not enough for both my husband and me to have some. She definitely looked like she did not want to be there.
I really love resorts vs hotels because of the personal touch, they are usually so friendly and welcoming.
The welcome email was way more welcoming than the only person who was physically there during our stay. Maybe she was having a bad day.

Friendly staff, wonderful food, privacy and peaceful. Loved seeing wildlife and nice place for a walk.
Property is awesome!!! Super clean, great rooms, super friendly owners. Great food and atmosphere!! We would definitely come back here. One of the nicest places we have stayed on this trip! A++++
The property is a little worn down needs some maintenance asap. The decks need some stain and outside needs someone to mow the grounds. My room was the Lewis n Clark and we had no key and couldn’t lock the door at night. The room was not cleaned such as dirty box fans, hair from previous stay in the tub, burned out light bulbs just to name a few. Skye was outstanding as a staff member. Very nice, helpful and a hard working for all customers. I hope I got her name right because she was great for someone just there for two weeks. Very impressed with her, The restaurant chef/cook was a huge plus with our stay. My wife personally went to him and thanked him. Very relaxing stay just not the cleanest room and no key were my biggest concerns.
What a beautiful place! The manager Jennifer is so nice, the setting and room were superb, and the continental breakfast was lovely and fresh. Highly recommend!
This is a great place to stay. We enjoyed the quiet and relaxed environment. The scenery is beautiful. Continental breakfast was great. Staff was very helpful and very nice. Great Stay! Hope to make it back some day.
