"The stay at Hotel Onrock was nice. The hospitality at the hotel was lovely ,with a hot towel and chilled fresh juice served on arrival. The room was nice, inroom decor a little out dated with the tv was too tiny.had to constantly move the mosquito nets out of the way to watch tv. Lol. Gave up and went to sleep. .Beds were comfy. "We spent 3 nights there with my family of 5 in two rooms. We found the location difficult to find on the evening we arrived as it was dark and raining. When we arrived we were met by the owner and his staff who helped us with the bags to the room. Given the location we were met by lots of bugs near the room entrance as the hallway lights were on. There’s a steep climb back home after going down to the main street, so you will give your calves a good stretch, but it’s worth it for the view of Little Adam’s Peak that you get in the morning. "Its a property about 7 km away from town. Its a beautifully built property . As i understand it has 6 rooms, and a pool table in the loft. Great staff. There is no lift but its not an issue. There are small things they need to see to. Like salt and pepper shakers ( rather than sticking your fingers into the salt/pepper jar. ) there are no tissues in the room/bathroom. No hand washers - but lovely towels. The scenery from the small restaurant is amazing. This is place i may stay at again"

"This is a hotel outside of Ella (25 minutes) a bit misleading as we discovered. The room is a 2 story so you have plenty of room but more than you really need unless you have a big family with you. The room is decorating simple and not updated. The view is great as you’re surrounded by so much foliage but if you plan to hike in Ella and enjoy their many restaurants and take the train from there, do yourself a favor and stay in the actual town, would’ve been much better. "

"A charming boutique hotel in Nuwara Eliya! My family and I had a great stay here, the hospitality was second to none. From the welcome cup of tea to the morning breakfasts and games for the children, the colonial style was fantastic and made for a very welcome stay. "This hotel was just average. The grounds and gardens around the hotel were beautiful and well maintained, but they can do a better job with the interior. The sheets had tears in them and the towels looked very worn. We were also informed that the wifi would not be working during our stay. All the rooms are located in one building, the walls are very thin so you can hear other guests talking and doors closing. Staff was wonderful!"

"We just spent a few nights here. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable. Where this hotel really shines is the service. The staff went well out of their way to accommodate us and ensure that we enjoyed our stay. The included breakfast was amazing and provided far more food than we imagined and packed leftovers for us which also became our lunch. On the day we left we were leaving early, when they found out we would be missing breakfast we were offered a packed lunch instead which was also delicious. This hotel exceeded expectations! Would certainly recommend."
