Excellent location with Paddington Station one block away. Shops nearby for water and snacks. Clean rooms. Small bathrooms, but that’s Europe for you. Would definitely stay here again.

I cannot in good faith give the property 1 star as the price was well below par, certainly one gets what one pays for. That said, in my estimation this property could have received a 5-star review but failed in the following: (1) bed sheet was covered in lint. Not dirty per se but nonetheless off-putting. (2) TV volume unadjustable. Hearing challenged I am not, otherwise it would have been fine, but neither I nor my neighbors (I assume) appreciated the non-working volume. Had to use TV because of lack of WiFi, mentioned below. (3) unhelpful staff. Left my 17YO daughter in room to grab a pint down street, asked for 2nd key to enter without waking her but was told they “ran out of keys”. (4) horrible WiFi. Foreigners rely HEAVILY on good WiFi to plan day, download maps, pass time, etc. Orchard Hotel must understand this and invest in better WiFi, minimal upgrade that makes the rest above more tolerable. Again, last minute booking, low price comparatively, but these are not difficult things to address. The room and bathroom especially are very very small but that’s not included in review.

The rooms were clean, staff were helpful. Overall great experience except the long walk to and from the room to the reception area which is the only exit to the building for guest.

We saw no staff during our stay, the room was spotless. There was some early morning noise from the bakery below, but this would only be audible in a few rooms. The hotel was well placed to see London and was a 15 minute walk from the theatres and nightlife of soho. There are lots of eateries nearby too. I would highly recommend the hotel.

Very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable for our family of 5. Fabulous breakfast!
