In fact probably better even as I had a lovely view from my room (with a newly renovated bathroom!) and the staff were extremely nice, as before, and gave me the quiet space I’d requested. Vannes is enchanting in itself but also a great base for exploring further into Brittany by bus or train, don’t miss Carnac or Auray. It’s a simple but atmospheric accommodation that attracts...

"Adorable little seaside hotel. Everything was great, and I particularly liked the friendliness of the staff. My French is not great, but I do want to practice it, so the lady who checked me in purposefully spoke a bit slower and clearer, and I managed to follow along and understand perfectly!
