A minor niggle, but it was a bit cluttered with cushions and throws in the sitting room - the throws just slid off the leather sofas and the cushions were too big and too many, so were surplus to requirements. "The cottage was as expected . Very well equipped with new appliances etc . Huge utility room made up for tiny kitchen . Beds had good mattresses . Good blackout curtains which is rare .Parking was as described and was a pain but car park is free and lots of room . We were too hot as the downstairs heating couldn't be turned off and it was unexpected hot weather . Had to leave the upstairs windows open . Loved the character of the cottage and the fact that I could walk to a bench by the sea...

"Beautiful Lodge in an idyllic setting, immaculate, clean and well stocked. Added bonus was the hot tub although the weather was exceptionally hot and a "cool tub" would've been amazing. Good location, easy for visiting Dalscone Fun Farm. Booked to return again soon. "

"The Thistle Inn was the perfect stop for the night. We were greeted by the owner and the room was cool and quiet. Exactly what we needed after a long drive. Breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. Michelle is very pleasant and enjoyed talking about the area with great recommendations for other places to visit."

"I stayed in the White Hart Hotel for a short break with my brother. The couple who run it were welcoming and check-in was effortless. Breakfast had a cooked option in addition to cereal etc. which we opted for. We each had a room with en suite which were spacious and clean. There were several places to eat within 10-15 minutes walk."
