I like The Churchill a lot !

Breakfast was amazing. The staff was like family. I really enjoyed my stay. The room was beautiful as well.

This hotel was one of my favorites when it was still the mandarin oriental. It just doesn’t have that same class and grace anymore. The staff are not well trained and everything takes an excessively long time. The food in the lounge was terrible. The cocktails were the same as a pub and lacked craft. Turn down service was completely skipped for me, so I had to call to get additional water and coffee pods. The tv’s do not have chromecast or app capabilities, leaving you with basic cable options. This hotel felt more like a 3/4 star rather than a 5 star. Not a horrible stay, but there are certainly much better options.

Loved the property. Bed was super comfortable. Location was amazing. Room is soundproof. Staff is really nice with exception of the guy in the restaurant that treated us so weird the first night that we didn’t come back the other 3 nights. Instead we just walked across the street. We were there for a day event and we were famished every night when we got home. He acted like we were lost when we came to see if we could get a seat and then the second night fully ignored us. Oh well… Otherwise everyone was so wonderful. Especially the guys at the reception desk and our housekeeper. Our room was cleaned so well when we came back every day. It was immaculate. And we always had fresh water stocked.

We had a wonderful stay at the Willard. The hotel’s historic elegance, unbeatable location, and exceptional service made our trip especially memorable. We booked a Junior 2 Queen Bed Suite, which worked perfectly for our family. The separate sitting area with a pull-out couch gave our kids their own space to sleep. This made the room feel much larger and more comfortable than a standard hotel room. Our front-facing room also had a great partial view of the Washington Monument, which was a special bonus. The hotel also went above and beyond for my birthday by surprising us with delicious mini cupcakes and sparkling water, which was a thoughtful touch and greatly appreciated! The staff was outstanding, particularly Luciana at the front desk. We arrived before our room was ready at 3:00 PM, and she provided excellent recommendations for places to visit and ways to spend our time nearby. Her friendly and helpful attitude set the tone for a great stay. Families should know about the children’s program, which includes a mini library where kids can earn “Duck Bucks” and redeem them for treats at the cafe. Our children loved it and it added a fun, unique element to the stay. One tip for future guests: the minibar uses a weighted sensor system. If you pick up an item, even just to look at it, you may be charged.
