"This was just an 8 hour stay between flights. Checked in no real problem. The lady behind the counter couldn’t decide if she was cleaning the desk area or serving her customer. Her English was poor. The room keyboardcomes in the form of a text message. A long walk takes us to the door. A degree in micro electronics is required to open it. What is wrong with a physical key? Eventually in the room, the ‘harbour view’ that cost extra was lovely except you had to stand on a chair to get it. It’s a misrepresentation in room 2030 to say it’s a harbour view, though the top of some taller masts can be seen. The room itself was hit and miss. Beds and showers were good enough. Tiles in the bathroom were broken and dangerous. We wanted to get a few hours sleep before a 24 hour flight to London but this was not possible. First, and worst, 2030 has an adjoining door to a service room ( for no sensible reason that I could see, where someone scrubbed and splashed and created for and hour and woke us. Then the housekeeper bange on the door as she couldn’t remember if she had serviced the room. You don’t have to check out formally so we just walked out. At the airport I took a call from the hotel. Another voice that did not speak English well. She wanted to know my name for some reason. Must try harder"

"Loose toilet seat clesners should be reporting to maintenance. The common areas walking to your room on the floor smelt funky but not the rooms themselves. Didn't like not being greeting and just pointed to the self checkin machine. "

"Where do I start, this place is outstanding in every way! The people who own and operate this establishment should be running courses for everyone else on how to run a motel/hotel. Exceptionally clean, quiet, and had a warmth to it that is hard to explain. Perhaps the high quality, but not generic furnishings. The continental breakfast in the room is basic, BUT treat it as a bonus, because the place is outstanding without a breakfast. This would rate as my top 10 of places to stay. And perhaps especially appreciated because on the other end of the scale we had a truly terrible experience at Tweed Heads central motel the night before. Keep up the amazing service and quality!"
