It was exactly what we were looking for. Super peaceful, beautiful scenery, remote location. Good communication and easy check in process. First night there, it was rainy but still super peaceful sitting by the fire on the porch listening to the rain. The fishing was great. Couldn't have went any better. Will definitely be returning.

Little slice of heaven! We stayed here to attend a wedding at Matilda’s Event Barn. It was idyllic, so pretty with the fall colors and glassy lake. We loved hanging out in the porch with blankets (early November). Everything was very accommodating, temperature control in both sleeping rooms. Simple check and out. I only wish we could have stayed longer. We’re keeping this in mind for the summer!

Great family getaway

My family and I wanted to get away for Christmas and the Lakeside Cabin was perfect! The host were quick with their correspondence and everything was easy to use and find. There’s already been some discussion of a summer trip to take better advantage of the pond and kayaks.

Great Fall Getaway

The property and grounds are well maintained. Communication with the owners was prompt and helpful. My family had a great time fishing, boating and kayaking. We plan to come back again.

Cozy Cabin

We were in the area for a wedding at Matilda’s event center, which is only a half a mile away! The Lakeside cabin is amazing. We will definitely come back for a family trip. Plenty to do lots of amenities and very secluded. We absolutely loved it!

My grandsons loved to fish and it was my daughters 16 th b day. We all would love to live there

When kids put phones down and enjoy nature you know they are having a good time. Fishing and the diving board was amazing time for us all

The reviews are spot on and the pictures do not do this place justice! I booked this as a little weekend get away for myself, my husband and my two boys. The end goal was to have as much fun as possible at Holiday World — the place we stayed didn’t really matter as long as it was clean. Surprise! We only did ONE day at Holiday World (which was amazing — blew Kings Island out of the water) and the rest of our time was spent enjoying the amenities of the cabin. Perfect amount of space for us four. The lakes were amazing and lake swimming/fishing with Dad will totally be a new core memory for the boys. We were catching fish within five minutes of casting! Only two negatives were that there were wasps/nests at one of the docks (this is now also a core memory for my kids, Mom/Step Mom counter attacking the wasps!) I’m sure this will be taken care of though and should be expected — you are in the woods! The other negative has nothing to do with the cabin and more to do with location — good food is hard to comeby out in the middle of nowhere. This is an easy fix — bring your own goodies! There is a grill and a full CLEAN kitchen with well stocked plates/cookware.We will most certainly be back for another stay!

A Time Away

Our family needed a chance to get away from the fast pace of life and this little cabin was just what we needed. Our hosts were absolutely amazing! The property is beautiful. We were still able to eat out close by or do some shopping but coming back to this peaceful cabin to fish, swim, and just relax was the best!

Fall Family Weekend

There was a beautiful fall view. Fishing was great, and it was so exciting for the grandkids. The property was clean and very well-kept inside and out. Could have skipped Holiday World and enjoyed Lakeside Cabin, which had plenty to do, or relaxed and enjoyed some quiet time outdoors.

Great stay with family.

Had a great stay with my wife and 4 kids. Fishing was awesome with several catfish caught over 24" and some bass and bluegill. The swimming dock was a great place to hang out and enjoy the water. The golf cart is a nice addition for those trips around the lake when you don't feel like walking. We enjoyed smores by the firepit every night and sitting in the screened patio listening to the nighttime wildlife. Will stay here again!

Lovely property with so much to enjoy onsite - lake for fishing, kayaking, swimming. Hot tub. Outdoor grilling. Golf cart for touring property. Easy access to surrounding communities. Near Santa Claus, Lincoln’s boyhood home, wineries. So relaxing.

Amazing!

Within an hour of arrival we knew we would be back! This place is beautiful and so relaxing. We had four kids with us, one high school, two middle school, and one elementary aged. All four had the very best time! We kayaked, swam, fished, cruised around on the golf cart and had fires by the lake. It was a perfect getaway and we can't wait to book another stay at Lakeside Cabin! Make a reservation, you won't regret it!

Private Perfection

This is THE CLEANEST property we’ve ever rented! It was stocked with everything you could possibly need -from sunscreen and life jackets, to cleaning & paper supplies and everything in between. Small lake/large pond was all yours! Lots of fun activities from swimming to kayaking to fishing to a tiki bar. Beds were comfortable, hot tub relaxing. Cornhole, card games, smart tv, fire pit w/ beach, picnic shelter, patio fire table, screened porch… if you get tired of the water. Local area attractions to explore if you could pull yourself away from the property. Only regret is we wish we could have stayed longer!

This place is awesome! We were welcomed with a bottle of local wine & snacks! Our reason for the trip was the Spirit of Jasper Dinner Train (highly recommend!) The cabin was exactly as shown except the pics don't do justice of the outside area! The leaves were just showing colors. The hot tub was a plus as was the golf cart. We took a tour of the property; Tiki Bar is so cute! I caught a huge bluegill & lost a big catfish! The inside was comfy & well supplied. While we did not cook, they had everything you would need! Owners were very helpful. Food at the near by New Boston Tavern is a must. Monkey Hollow wine is awesome too! Thanks Andy & Sara for an awesome stay!

Private Slice of Heaven

This was by far the best vacation we have ever booked. Our only mistake was not booking a longer stay! The hosts were amazing. There was not one detail missed when it comes to the amenities and the property is so well maintained; it’s absolutely breathtaking! If you’re looking to unplug and reconnect with nature in a completely private setting, this is the place to do it. (Although WiFi service worked great). Plenty of outdoor activities for all ages— kayaking, fishing, swimming, diving board on the tiki hut, nature walks, sightseeing on the golf cart…the list goes on and on! The lake is so clean and fishing was fabulous! The turtles were adorable. As soon as the sun sets, the bullfrogs in the adjacent pond get vocal singing for a bit. A great thing about the property is the way the hills roll around with the trees surrounding the lake & cabin—it makes it so your can even hear the screened-in patio door bang shut from the far side of the lake. Tried to have a week of no cell phones, but I couldn’t quit taking pictures and videos…and more pictures! But had zero desire to “check” my emails or social media - didn’t want to waste a minute online. When the breeze goes calm, the lake water is like a glass mirror and the sun, trees and skyline surrounding it reflect in the water. Sunsets were spectacular to watch from the dock and our stay was during a full Sturgeon moon that lit up the lake. Without a doubt, would return in a heartbeat!

This property is amazing. It’s very private and secluded. We found it very peaceful. They have everything you could ever ask for the golf cart the canoes the boat, the tiki bar, all kinds of games and stuff you can play and do the fire pit. It has everything and more. Would highly recommend it if you want a great weekend getaway the lake is beautiful.

Everything was splendid. The cabin, the amenities, the hot tub, the privacy, the lake.... We did not want for anything other than food, beverages, bait and tackle. The fishing was a lot of fun and kept us pretty busy. The host was super responsive, helpful, friendly, and cares about the visitors. We had a great time and look forward to returning.

Amazing Family Getaway

Our family of 5 had a great time at this beautiful property. We enjoyed eating and hanging out in the screened in porch every evening. The kids had a blast fishing and swimming in the lake. Close to Holiday World too.
