「Although only for one night, we had a lovely and comfortable stay. Pat, the owner, checked in with us before we arrived…, to be sure we were set. Complimentary beverages and snacks were so welcome after a long day on the road. We crashed on the couch and nibbled before we called it a nite.(just right mattress and pillows). In the morning (shower was great) we had good choices from the laid out continental breakfast. Nicole, the manager, welcomed us and asked if we needed any thing more. ...

「The room itself was clean, nicely furnished, and the beds were very comfortable. My only thing is that both the sink and the shower drain were incredibly slow. Also, nowhere to store your bags if you have a later train than their strict 11am checkout time. 」

「The room was clean and comfortable enough, particularly the bed, and a great shower. The staff were great. But, access up two flights of narrow stairs was not the best for us. In fairness, staff did offer to carry our luggage up. I missed the part that said no lift. Also, it was advertised as ‘self parking included’. There wasn’t. We had to find a park on the street. No complaints, merely observations.」

「I used to stay in it when it was the holiday house which was a purely 50s motel. it’s been bought and refurbished and renamed the brooks. The rooms are still not very big but the beds are comfortable and I don’t spend a lot of time at the hotel when I’m in Hillsdale. there was a coffee maker that made delicious coffee and there is room for my small dog and his crate.
