Overlooking Lake Manitowish, Chippewa Retreat Resort is a top destination for vacations and events, offering 4-star amenities and convenient access to year-round recreation. Situated on a stunning 10-lake chain, summer activities include swimming, fishing, boating, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, birdwatching, and biking. In winter, guests can enjoy ice fishing, downhill and cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing. This ground-level villa boasts direct waterfront access with spacious grassy areas for socializing and relaxing. Anchored by a river rock gas fireplace, the cozy living area provides the perfect place to unwind after a day of adventures. Curl up with a good book or watch your favorite shows on the TV. Savor panoramic views while enjoying a glass of wine on the screened porch, or fire up the gas grill for a family cookout. The full kitchen comes equipped with all major appliances, including a dishwasher for easy cleanup. RESORT AMENITIES - Private marina - Gorgeous, manicured grounds - White Oak Grill (Spring, Summer, & Fall) THINGS TO KNOW Outdoor pool is open June 15 to September 15 annually. Access to the pool is available weather permitting for an additional fee. This property is managed by VueStay Vacations.

We really enjoyed our visit. The property was just as pretty as the pictures. The view from the living room and dining room onto the lake was great. The screened in porch was great and had great views of the property and the lake.

The Lair

Lovely

Very comfortable and scenic property that is quiet and private. Kitchen utensils are basic, but adequate. We didn’t use the laundry, but it was sizeable and convenient. Overall, a great place for R & R!

Long Fall Weekend Getaway

This was a great place for a long fall weekend in the Northwoods. My husband, son and grandson fished all weekend and I hiked, did some great reading and enjoyed the fall colors - couldn't ask for anything better!

Great family vacation

This place was just perfect for a family vacation. The property is very well kept and the grounds are very nice. Close to a place to dock your boat. You can ride to a nice sandy beach, ride the river chain or fish. Close to a great brewery and downtown Manitowish where they have lots of biking trails. Will definitely come again.

Beautiful place!

Very nice place and Beautiful views of the lake. The only issues we had were contacting someone about bringing our Kayaks and there are Washer/Dryer in the pictures but there was not either in the unit.

We’ll be back, the perfect location

Easy to book, the place was even nicer than the photos. Vacasa told me there wasn’t a washer and dryer but to our surprise, there was!! Clean, seemed like brand new towels and linens. The place was immaculate, the carpet seemed new too. The location couldn’t be any nicer, close to WinMan trails for mountain biking, lots of great restaurants including the Oak Grill right on the property. We had a guy from Northwoods EFoil come to our location to give us EFoil lessons right off the dock area, bald eagle flew over. Just wonderful. The kitchen is large, everything worked, comfy, TV and fireplace all nice. We will stay here again

Nice condo in the northwoods

This is a nice property in a beautiful setting. The condo is comfortable, but needs some upgrading. We stayed at the same property 2 years ago and other than new carpeting, the furniture, etc has remained the same.

Nice place but listing inaccurate

No washer and dryer, despite being listed as amenities, which was a significant problem as packing was done based on the expectation to do laundry.

Great Location

We really enjoyed the location and being able to be on the lake everyday for some great sunsets. There was no washer/dryer, though, and the kitchen did NOT have very many items to cook with. We ended up going out and buying a new frying pan and some food storage things. No good bowls to cook with, we ended up having to serve some of our dinners in the cake pans that were there since there were no bowls. We've stayed in many rentals in the past and one would think there would be a better stocked kitchen than what was available. Cleaning could be improved, found a few areas that seemed to not be cleaned well from the previous occupant. The lock on the door to get in and out was difficult to use and finicky. Also note, you are supposed to pay to use the pool on-site everyday, per person, so don't miss that. Fireplace also didn't work. I texted about it, but never received a quality answer on how to get it to work, so we never utilized it on the chilly nights.
