This hotel is closed permanently. We booked the place for the night, drove all the way there and no one was there. We had to find another place last minute and now are waiting for a refund. This hotel should be removed from the site.

When we arrived it looked deserted. Went to check in and luckily the girl that managed it 4 years popped out. She explained what transpired since we were there last and how it’s undergoing a new transformation and maybe a name change. She’s very welcoming and remembered us instantly. So it’s a new work in progress. It may not be the 100% now but it will be. They’re starting over from scratch. I love this little hideaway and will probably go back.

We were not in the room we paid for. Pipes burst in the room we were supposed to have. I know the owners have no control over that. Still a little disappointed though. No restaurant or bar as advertised. No coffee or tea in room as advertised. No breakfast. Ran out of toilet paper as no extras were left in the bathroom. No housekeeper so owner was trying to keep up on her own. They did make sure we got a refrigerator and microwave in our which was nice!

Lodge closed. Expedia booked this reservation when new owner had specifically requested to hold the reservations ( she closed on the property at 4pm day prior). She was helpful but we were unable to stay or find another option at that time of day with spotty service. A fail for Expedia.

The property appeared run down and closed as we arrived. When we found a person they shared the ownership just changed in the last couple of weeks. Regardless of that when we booked there were photos of the restaurant and tavern with great reviews and arrived to find it sitting with all sorts of supplies, furniture etc just strewn about. No lights on and staff in and out of rooms open to the outside, smoking while cleaning. The windows barely opened, screens were in disrepair, towels were so old and thin they were almost see-through. The mattress was so thin, blanket very thin and every noise can be heard from neighboring rooms. False advertising like I've never seen. No calls to communicate about the lack of services prior to our arrival and no options for refunds or other accommodations to make up for the situation. Even if the new ownership cleans things up and makes improvements we would not try again. Hundreds of dollars wasted.

Lodge style accommodation. No A/C or ceiling fan, so the room was a bit stuffy for sleeping. Rear window screen was broken, so could only use the front and bathroom windows for ventilation. Room was clean, provided shampoo but no conditioner. Bed and pillows okay. Probably would not stay here again during warm months due to lack of a/c or ceiling fan.

The property is not ready or suitable for guests. There was no one at the front desk. The rooms are in awful condition. There is NO air conditioning. There was not tv in our room. Really just poor overall and no one should stay here until they resolve things and make it adequate for stays

Super friendly staff, tasty food, very cool lodge atmosphere. The room was warm and clean, the bed was soft. Happy hour and dinner in a lodge was the highlight of the stay. Laughing with the chef and enjoying his food. I would stay there again.

Our overnight stay was lovely & fast since we got up pretty early to get to Gore Mtn. early- The breakfast was very nice too, with some fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, toast/eggs and other goodies! The staff were very nice too!! 5/5

Do to the lodge being sold 4 days before my stay there was NO STAFF, restaurant, bar & no access to the lobby/front desk. The prior owner was supposed to stop taking reservations but didn’t & of course the booking was no refundable. Upon arrival there was just a phone number to call but absolutely ZERO cell service, I wandered around the property, getting eaten alive by mosquitoes until another guest who had already checked in helped get me connected to the Wi-Fi, which then I had to check my emails to get my room number to find my key card was supposed to be stuck to the door, once I found the room that was not the case. My room door was open & key card was on the floor. Nothing looked out of place & was pretty clean except for the hoard of mosquitoes that got in due to the open door. The window screens, all had holes, & 1 window the screen was blowing like a curtain. Thankfully I brought my own fan because the fan that was supposed to be in the room was not. We had no hot or cold water both came out the same lukewarm temperature. The new owner did come by to explain what happened & apologized, stating that she only found out the day before about the bookings made or taken by the previous owner. She mentioned she wasn’t even making $ on any of them & had planned to be closed until December for renovations. She was very nice & will try to stay again once she is up & running.

Sorry, was very disappointed in our stay here. I understand it's rustic, but there was one staff member cleaning rooms, checking people in and so on. The restaurant and bar were not open due to no staffing. Very limited breakfast due to, again, no staff. No air conditioning, just a fan on the floor. Could not open the windows to let in some fresh air due to one being broken and taped shut. One of the beds was caving in to the left. The refrigerator was broken and leaking water. Floors were dirty and had to fight off the ants every morning in the bathtub. When we voiced our concerns to the one staff member there, she argued with us and told us "we could just leave then". Very unhospitable. Will not be going back.
