This place got a lot of bad reviews! The room was super clean, felt safe, & the owners made sure we had everything we needed! Great price! I hope the next time I'm in the area, there are rooms available!!

Lodge closed. Expedia booked this reservation when new owner had specifically requested to hold the reservations ( she closed on the property at 4pm day prior). She was helpful but we were unable to stay or find another option at that time of day with spotty service. A fail for Expedia.

Lodge style accommodation. No A/C or ceiling fan, so the room was a bit stuffy for sleeping. Rear window screen was broken, so could only use the front and bathroom windows for ventilation. Room was clean, provided shampoo but no conditioner. Bed and pillows okay. Probably would not stay here again during warm months due to lack of a/c or ceiling fan.

The property is not ready or suitable for guests. There was no one at the front desk. The rooms are in awful condition. There is NO air conditioning. There was not tv in our room. Really just poor overall and no one should stay here until they resolve things and make it adequate for stays

Super friendly staff, tasty food, very cool lodge atmosphere. The room was warm and clean, the bed was soft. Happy hour and dinner in a lodge was the highlight of the stay. Laughing with the chef and enjoying his food. I would stay there again.

Do to the lodge being sold 4 days before my stay there was NO STAFF, restaurant, bar & no access to the lobby/front desk. The prior owner was supposed to stop taking reservations but didn’t & of course the booking was no refundable. Upon arrival there was just a phone number to call but absolutely ZERO cell service, I wandered around the property, getting eaten alive by mosquitoes until another guest who had already checked in helped get me connected to the Wi-Fi, which then I had to check my emails to get my room number to find my key card was supposed to be stuck to the door, once I found the room that was not the case. My room door was open & key card was on the floor. Nothing looked out of place & was pretty clean except for the hoard of mosquitoes that got in due to the open door. The window screens, all had holes, & 1 window the screen was blowing like a curtain. Thankfully I brought my own fan because the fan that was supposed to be in the room was not. We had no hot or cold water both came out the same lukewarm temperature. The new owner did come by to explain what happened & apologized, stating that she only found out the day before about the bookings made or taken by the previous owner. She mentioned she wasn’t even making $ on any of them & had planned to be closed until December for renovations. She was very nice & will try to stay again once she is up & running.

Our overnight stay was lovely & fast since we got up pretty early to get to Gore Mtn. early- The breakfast was very nice too, with some fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, toast/eggs and other goodies! The staff were very nice too!! 5/5

Sorry, was very disappointed in our stay here. I understand it's rustic, but there was one staff member cleaning rooms, checking people in and so on. The restaurant and bar were not open due to no staffing. Very limited breakfast due to, again, no staff. No air conditioning, just a fan on the floor. Could not open the windows to let in some fresh air due to one being broken and taped shut. One of the beds was caving in to the left. The refrigerator was broken and leaking water. Floors were dirty and had to fight off the ants every morning in the bathtub. When we voiced our concerns to the one staff member there, she argued with us and told us "we could just leave then". Very unhospitable. Will not be going back.

I think I was in a “renovated” room but found it to be poorly done. The bed was incredibly hard. Pillows very thin and I know other reviews have recommended the same thing. I found the towels to be old and stained. The floor was not clean and under the desk etc. the trash can has the last guests trash in it still. The sides of the end table has some mystery stains as well. The windows were old, screen broken in back window. No air conditioners in the rooms either and it was very hot and uncomfortable. Check in was good she was very nice. I didn’t really enjoy the photo copying my cc and DL though so it sure how long she keeps that on file. I would not stay there again and I know there’s comments on ongoing renovations but this place needs a lot do work and was not worth the $230 CAD I paid.

We came in the off season and the place was empty. We were the only guests the entire weekend. The bar and restaurant were not open and there was no staff on site. As such there was no continental breakfast as listed. It was quiet at night and heard birds singing in the morning which was nice. The room was relatively comfortable and warm but there was a good amount of dust under the furniture. The bed was thin but firm and comfortable but there were only two thin pillows for two guests. The remotes were also missing batteries so the TV was a little challenge to navigate. Overall an okay stay. It may be quite different during Ski season or in the peak of the summer. But in May it is a ghost town that is somewhat forgotten.
