Lake Buel Waterfront - 4 Bedrooms with private dock

"Wow — what a wonderful experience staying at the Red House on Lake Buel. It exceeded every expectation. The house and the waterfront were exactly as described, and our short stay confirmed that we’ll be back for a much longer visit next summer.The great room truly is great — spacious yet cozy, with a sectional perfect for lounging and watching TV, and dining table seating that looks straight out through the sliding glass doors to the lake. Most of the time, though, we chose to eat on the screened porch, where the large table seats six comfortably (and can stretch to eight).The porch is a highlight: a completely bug free, spectacular view just five feet from the water’s edge. After dinner we’d settle into the four swivel chairs and watch evening settle over the lake. In the mornings, we enjoyed coffee while the sun came up — peaceful, quiet, perfect.During the day we spent our time between the shoreline and the private dock. The owner provides a canoe, rowboat, stand up paddleboard, and two kayaks, so exploring the lake was easy and fun. There’s even a 10-foot lily pad that became an instant favorite for floating and relaxing.We can’t wait to return next summer. We are going to bring the whole family."

"The property was perfect for our girls trip of three women in their 60s going to Tangelwood to see Brandi Carlile. 15 minute easy drive to Great Barrington, a 5 minute walk to beautiful and clean Lake Buel, and fun to take a stroll around the neighborhood. Be sure to put in the right address. There are 2 addresses similar in the same area: Park St. and Park Avenue, I think that's it, so you don't get lost, as we did, in the dark. I slept in the downstairs bedroom which was perfect and private, great air conditioning throughout. The house had everything one would want and very comfortable, well appointed and decorated. Do not hesitate to rent!!"

"Staff at the front desk were welcoming, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The room was equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, and coffeemaker, as well as a TV, and the WiFi worked fine. The breakfast area in the office building had several tables, and included a "make-your-own-waffles" station (love that!), buffet-style scrambled eggs and sausage, as well pre-packaged muffins. Yogurt and other items were available in a refrigerator. Parking was in a a space right outside the room entrance on the first floor, which was ground level. The location is on Main Street (Route 7) in Great Barrington, but set back from the road so there's less traffic noise. There are restaurants and shops in easy walking distance of this motel, and it is an easy drive of 15 mins. or so to the nearby towns of Lenox, Lee (location of Mass. Turnpike exit/entrance), West Stockbridge, and Stockbridge that have their own shops, restaurants, sites, and venues of interest. I highly recommend this motel."

"Great house, welcoming, clean, comfortable bed, everything works (!). It is also close everything we needed, which is Tanglewood and the Great Barrington area. Overall, we had a great stay. We did not use the kayaks as they seemed to us a bit outdated and easy to flip, but maybe we just needed more experience in it.Would definitely recommend the house to our friends."

"We like the large kitchen setting particularly. Since we have a large group, a kitchen with a huge space and a lot of plates and pots that is suitable with us. At one point, all 12 of us were working together in the kitchen, that was so fun!"
