Oceanfront 3 BR / 3 BA

Beautiful oceanfront condo with 3 bedrooms (including loft) and 3 bathrooms. Our 2010 remodel includes air conditioning in the living room and all three bedrooms (all individually controlled). New wall to wall sliding doors to the lanai open extra wide to let in the gorgeous views of the ocean, Molokai & Lanai, whales (in season), kite surfers and the most dazzling sunsets on earth. All are yours as you relax on your own lanai. Even the occasional wedding on the beach completes this utopian setting.

This top floor (4th floor) has limestone floors, carpeting in bedrooms, granite counter tops in bathrooms and kitchen, air conditioning, ceiling fans, and ipod docking stations in every bedroom and living room. The living room & master bedroom also includes a TV and DVD/VCR/CD player. Bring your own movies or visit the video store across the street.

Your fully equipped kitchen gives you the flexibility to enjoy coffee or cocktails on your lanai, a quick bite of lunch in between lounging at one of the two pools or on the oceanside lawn, or enjoying a dinner you prepare yourself at one of the gas barbeques circling the pools. Not into cooking? You are a short walk away form two restaurants or just minutes from Whalers Village on Kaanapali Beach or historic Lahaina Town.

Need some variety – well there’s lighted tennis courts, two putting greens, two shuffle boards, two hot tubs or just a walk through the gardens and koi ponds on this thirteen acres of paradise. Need a little more activity? You are minutes away from world class golf courses at Kaanapali Beach or Kapalua (where the Hyundai Open is held). Hiking in Iao Valley or on Haleakala, Maui’s highest peak. Don’t forget about the snorkeling, scuba diving and surfing. For a real treat, consider a leisurely all day drive to Hanna. Need to stay in touch with family and friends (or not), enjoy free wireless internet service.

Sleeping Arrangements
Master Suite - on the main floor - has a king size bed, TV and VCR/DVD player and it’s own private bathroom with walk-in shower for two. Bathroom has a built in lit makeup/shaving mirror and hairdryer.

Second bedroom is also on the main floor and has a queen size bed.
The second bathroom is also on the main floor and has a walk-in shower.

Third bedroom in the loft with a queen size bed has it’s own bathroom, overlooks the living room and has a view of the ocean.

We even provide beach towels! – one less thing to pack.

Please not a Facility Fee: $25 per night will be collected by the Front Desk which covers:, free parking, unlimited use of the pools and hot tubs, tennis, pickleball, and shuffleboard courts, resort-wide Wi-Fi, a full High-Def cable package, and free local phone calls. A second vehicle parking pass can also be purchased for $5 a day

Amazing stay at Papakea

We enjoyed our stay at Papakea Resort. This isn't our first time to this resort but a new condo for us. We loved staying on the ocean and having the loft for the young adults was great! The condo was well equipped and we were pleasantly surprised that they had a collapsable wagon as well which was perfect for our youngest in the group (2) and getting groceries.

Great condo with fantastic ocean view

The property was well stocked and provided an excellent base for our Maui vacation. The pool was great and the view from the balcony was amazing. The condo was in good condition and clean. Beach equipment was great for us. Short walk to restaurants and shops. Amazing beaches for snorkeling and boogie boarding are just up the road.

Hawaiian Hangout

This place has a great location and the view is spectacular. It is well appointed, very clean, and is nicely appointed. The floors in the showers are interesting and although they appear oddly, are just fine. The only complaint we would have is that the beds are not comfortable. Other than that, a really nice place to stay.

Try another island

One night we had a very large cockroach visit the bed and got in my wife's hair. Shower tile floors did not have grout. Fully equipped which was nice.

Great Getaway for the Family

Top floor with wonderful view for sunsets and whale watching. Can sleep 8 adults, but a little crowded as those sleeping on the pull out in the living room had to share bathroom and place to keep luggage and stuff to keep out of living room. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed as well as having a washer and dryer was nice. The unit is getting a little wear with some minor things overall cleaning could be better as some items were found in the living and dining area as well as all 3 showers were showing mold. Property grounds were well maintained with pool, hot tub, putting green, and shuffle board. Beach just a few blocks away.

relaxing family vacation

Our family of 7 (3 adults, 4 children ages 4-11yrs) enjoyed our stay here. The kids loved the sand toys and the closeness of the beach and pool. The kitchen was well stocked including food storage bags, and the property manager was very responsive. Make sure to keep all food sealed and put away as much as possible. There were small ants on the counters and in the bathroom in the loft, which is inevitable in Hawaii. The view from the balcony was very serene. The condo was busy and some loud noises at night could be heard from the other condo complex (not the Papakea). The actual condo was quiet.

Great condo

This is a great condo. Had everything we needed. I wished that their were tissues but we could not find any. Also, this condo could use a update. The refrig had this yellow stuff on the outside but the inside was clean. The bathroom shower in the master bedroom could use a better floor. It was clean but looked dirty all the time. Also, you need better pillows. All in all this place was amazing. It had everything that we needed. I would stay here again in a heart beat.

Best Christmas and New Years!

We have been to Maui 6 times and this was by far the best condo we have stayed in. The view is direct oceanfront and we sat on the balcony for hours each day just enjoying the view, hearing the waves, and spotting whales. There is great snorkeling out front at low tide and you can surf off to the left. The condo had everything we needed and 3 BR and 3 BA with 4 teens was perfect! This was our first time staying at Papakea and we will definitely be back. We walked to many restaurants (loved Pizza Paradiso and their Dole Whips), the Times grocery store, and we grilled out almost every night. We also enjoyed Mai Tai Thursdays at the Lanai pool (although they were pretty strong!). We loved staying here and had the best Christmas and New Year as a family. Didn't get the opportunity to stay here......

We were so excited to stay at this condo for our vacation, we sent in our request to book and the owner responded with an email stating it was avail. He said he was sending a rental agreement and we booked our flights. After waiting a week, we still had no rental agreement. I called to see what was the problem and he responded a day later that it was already rented and unavailable. WOW!!!!! Talk about messing up your vacation plans. He must like to take better offers. Now that we had our flights, it made our booking for a different condo extremely difficult. I Don't care for this kind of business, so thought i would let the next guy know what could happen to them.

Food Storage

Plenty of seating in condo for 7 if you use the well-padded kitchen chairs. Lanai had 4 chairs and a lounge chair so we had to take turns with morning coffee. Master had nice firm mattress, and two queen beds had nice softer mattresses. No complaints from the adult sleeping on the pullout sofa in the main room. All had comfortable pillows. We stayed 10 days and had plenty of towels, but not enough toilet paper. Plenty of kitchen appliances, tools and serving dishes. Awesome AC and ceiling fans in every room. Property is ocean front with rocky beach, but the property next door has a pretty nice beach that is shaded for a good part of the morning and water entry looked safe. The grounds are beautiful and the pool is very nice. Parking spaces adequate but not generous. Three negatives are dark stains in the shower bottom so looks unclean and very slow draining, the kitchen counter doesn’t allow access to dishwasher control buttons so you set it while open and then close to run, and no food storage place in the kitchen so non perishables had to live on the large counter top. It took a bit to figure out how to use the space, but I would return in a heartbeat.

The condo was absolutely amazing!Location was perfect and you could walk to everything! The grocery store was across the street, food carts and coffee was also a block away.Snorkeling was amazing just down the beach. Pool area and bbq were also wonderful!The condo is stocked with everything you need to cook with as well as coolers, chairs, and boogie boards. We appreciated the ease of check out which entailed pretty much packing our suitcases and locking the doorOr an amazing hostThanks for helping us make some great family memories.

Amazing ocean view

You can't beat this amazing ocean view 3 bedroom for the price. We had such a wonderful time enjoying the view on the lanai. It was clean and roomy. Walking distance to grocery store and places to eat. It came well equipped with all the beach necessities which we appreciated. We would definitely come back!

We had a great stay. We love the condo and have rented it two times. If there is anything negative to say I would say get some new lanai furniture. We spent a lot of time out there and it’s not super comfortable. The view is so beautiful. We would rent this condo again if we bring the whole family. Thank you for sharing your home.

Location, location, location

This is a wonderful condo right at the water overlooking the ocean with Lanai on the left and Moloka'i on the right side and humpback whales jumping in near and far distance between the islands. It's a spacious place. The kitchen could be a little better equipped, e.g. not all of the cutlery was x 8 and some of the coated pots and pans were damaged. Overall, it's the perfect location for being at the water and watching the humpback whale migration in January and if you like the sound of the waves. It's also very close to walk to beautiful Kaanapali beach. We enjoyed out time very much and can highly recommend this place.

Beautiful Oceanfront Location

Our family stays at Papakea over the holidays every year. The location is perfect and the oceanfront views are amazing. The condo had everything we needed. There was an insect issue the first few days (4 dead roaches showed up), but then it was fine (they may have just sprayed before we arrived). I would recommend adding more forks because there were only about 5. Thank you for sharing your home with us! We loved it and would definitely stay again!

Perfect!

We stayed at the property for 5 nights, and it was fantastic! Fully equipped with beach chairs, floaties, towels and everything you need for a home away from home and on the ocean! We saw whales everyday from our balcony and turtles along the shoreline surfing the waves! This place makes you feel like you’re at home on your vacation with your ohana. Perfectly lovely

Everything about our condo stay was lovely and just as described in the listing. We loved the ocean view from the lanai, the ability for six (3 couples) to have their own space, and all the accessible beach gear. The jacuzzi and pool area were clean and quiet, and the grills were perfect for preparing dinner. I hope to come back again!

Family vaca

This condo was perfect for our group. We loved how close it was to the water. We saw mantarays swimming by each evening sea turtles, dolphins and jumping fish. We snorkeled at the property also and saw even more .. we loved walking on the beach and the food trucks in the courtyard down the street! The BEST cinnamon rolls ever at the little shop on the main road in front of property and several nice little coffee shops. The resort itself was quiet and mostly small families The pools and grounds were well lit at night with lights and tiki torches. And the hot tub was awesome! We had a great time!
